Here is the recipe:
Ingredients Serves 4
1 cup yellow cornmeal
3⁄4 cup self-rising flour
1 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp sugar
1⁄2 tsp cayenne pepper
1⁄2 small sweet onion, finely chopped
1⁄2 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
4 green onion, sliced thin
1 large egg, beaten
1⁄4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup corn (drained)
1 cup buttermilk
1 orange dipping sauce, recipe follows
1⁄4 cup dijon mustard
1⁄4 cup honey
1⁄4 cup orange marmalade
Directions
Preheat deep fryer to 375 degrees F.
Mix all the ingredients together into a large mixing bowl to form a thick batter.
Dip 2 tablespoon spoons into water. Using the spoons scoop up some of the batter and drop into the hot oil. Work in batches. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden and brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel lined sheet tray. Serve with dipping sauce.

Stuffed Hushpuppies | Simple Cooking
We love hushpuppies and Donna takes them to the next level!
Stuffed Hushpuppies
3 cups House-Autry Mills Hush Puppy mix with Onion
1 bunch fresh Leeks, washed and chopped into half moons 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
2 tablespoons Fresh Garlic, chopped
1 Vidalia Onion, medium-sized, finely diced
2 cup Heavy Cream
1⁄2 pound Fresh Shrimp, cleaned and peeled
1⁄2 pound Fresh Scallops, cut into quarters
Salt and Pepper to taste
Creole Tomato Sauce
Hushpuppies:
Prepare hushpuppies according to package directions. Pre-heat deep pot halfway filled with oil or a deep-fryer to 350 degrees. With medium ice cream scoop, portion out the hushpuppy mix and fry until golden brown. Allow to cool, and then cut a slice of the top of the hushpuppy and scoop out the insides, being careful not to cut through the hushpuppy on the bottom or sides. Set aside.
In a medium sauté pan over medium to high heat, sauté the leeks, ginger, garlic and onion in butter for 10 minutes, being careful not to brown. Add heavy cream and to low and allow the cream to reduce by half. When cream has reduced, add shrimp and scallops and cook until mixture is slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste, Keep warm.
Stuff the hushpuppies with the shrimp/scallop mixture and bake for 5 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree oven. Top with your favorite Creole Tomato Sauce.--

Amount Ingredients
1 Cup Flour-AP
3/4 Cup Corn Meal
1 Tablespoon Sugar, Granulated White
1.5 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
3/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
3/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Pepper, Ground Black
1 ea Jalapeno, Fine Diced, Seeded
4oz Sharp Cheddar
1 Ea Large Egg, Beaten
1 Tablespoon Butter, Salted, Melted
10 oz Milk, Whole
Procedure
Heat pot of oil slowly to about 350°F on stovetop.
Mix Flour, Corn Meal, Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt, Spices, Jalapeno, and Cheddar together in large bowl.
Separately in a medium bowl, beat Egg until fluffy.
Add Melted Butter and Milk, then mix well and add to dry ingredients.
Let sit for 5 minutes, then mix gently again.
Scoop mixture into hot oil 1.5 Tablespoons at a time, in a sphere shape.
Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Enjoy responsibly.

Easy Hush Puppies Recipe - These southern style Hush Puppies are around the size of golf balls, and are light and flakey made out of a cornmeal dough that is fried golden brown on the outside and soft on the inside and served as a side dish to any southern meal especially with fried fish. These can be leveled up by also adding Jalapeños or finely chopped Onions and or Bell Peppers. Enjoy!
Hush Puppies Ingredients:
3/4 Cup flour
3/4 Cup Cornmeal

Hush Puppies | Delish
INGREDIENTS
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 tbsp. granulated sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. kosher salt, plus more for sprinkling
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. buttermilk
Pinch cayenne pepper
1/2 onion (about 1 cup), minced
1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp. finely chopped chives (optional)
Vegetable oil, for frying
Tartar sauce, for serving (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt and cayenne. Add buttermilk, onion, egg and chives and stir until just combined. (The dough will be thick and tacky.)
Using a small cookie scoop, from mixture into small balls (about 2).
2. In a large deep skillet (or dutch oven), heat about 1 vegetable oil until oil is shimmering. (It should read about 375 ° on a candy thermometer.) Working in batches, carefully add hush puppies in a single layer using a large slotted spoon. Cook until deeply golden all over, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Immediately transfer cooked hush puppies to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with more salt.
3. Serve hush puppies warm with tartar sauce.
