How to Cook the Best Savoury Beef Mince
Savoury beef mince (ground beef) was a staple for me when I was growing up. It is a very cost-effective meal and a great way of sneaking vegetables into your children's food. It is so simple to make, and with the addition of a few flavourings and colourful vegetables, it can be appealing to the eyes as well as the taste buds!

Savoury beef mince can be served with potatoes, pasta or rice and a side dish or two to make a delicious balanced meal.
Additionally it can be served as Sloppy Joes over toasted bread, or it can be cooled and used as a pie filling ????
*Please note: I have reduced the amount of salt I use since this video was published. Any further comments by The Salt Police will be deleted. Celery salt has no added salt in it, it is a one-ingredient condiment made entirely from celery. Cheap commercial celery salt and some celery salt recipes may contain added salt, but I either buy quality celery salt or I make my own.*

⬇️ How to make Better Canned Beef Stew ⬇️
0:11 Heat up a pot with 2 tablespoons of olive oil under moderate heat. Melt the butter. Add the flour to form a roux, and roast for roughly 5 minutes until it turns brown.
0:35 Add the tomato paste and roast briefly.
0:46 Deglaze with beer and reduce briefly until it turns into a paste.
0:58 Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Continue simmering for roughly 40 minutes, until reduced by half and the flavors intensify.
1:15 Preheat the oven to 360 degrees F.
1:17 Combine the potatoes and carrots in a bowl. Add ½ tablespoons of Italian seasoning, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Toss to combine and place on a greased roasting tray. Set aside.
2:02 On a separate bowl, toss together the onion, remaining 1 tablespoon of oil, ½ tablespoons of Italian seasoning, then season with salt. Transfer to another greased roasting tray.
2:23 Roast for roughly 25 minutes, until the vegetables are tender. Note that the onions will roast faster than the other vegetables. Drain any excess oil and set aside.
2:42 Add the canned beef stew, frozen peas, and parmesan cheese into the simmering pot of broth. Continue simmering until slightly thickened.
3:04 Add the roasted vegetables into the pot. Mix until combined.
3:27 Season to taste with salt and pepper. Adjust accordingly.
3:40 Serve the hearty stew with either crusty bread or mashed potatoes.
