WW Friendly Two-Ingredient Bagels (Only 2 Points on Green)
If you are following the WW plan and miss your carbs, then I have good news for you -- you can still enjoy an everything bagel with no regrets! I am currently following the WW green plan and I make my own bagels (everything, cinnamon sugar, blueberry) for only 2 points. Combine this with some scrambled Egg Beaters, a slice of turkey bacon and some fat-free cheddar cheese and you have a hearty and delicious bagel breakfast sandwich for only 3 points (on green)!
Watch this step-by-step video to learn how to make two-ingredient bagels using nonfat Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. This dough can also be used for pizza crusts, garlic rolls, calzones, cinnamon rolls and many more things. Enjoy!
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Gold Medal self-rising white flour
- 2 cups Chobani plain fat-free Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp. Egg Beaters
- toppings of your choice (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix flour and yogurt in large bowl with spoon.
2. Once dough gets pasty, knead it with your hands (spray them with Pam first to avoid sticky fingers) for a few minutes.
3. Once you have a large ball and all flour is off the bottom of the bowl, transfer the dough to a floured surface or cutting board. Continue kneading the dough for 2 minutes.
4. Let dough ball sit on surface for 5 minutes to help it rise.
5. Divide the dough into 12 equal balls and roll out each ball into a tube-like dough.
6. Take the ends of the dough and bring it together so it forms a circle in the shape of a bagel.
7. Brush a small amount of Egg Beaters on top of each bagel (this will help brown them).
8. Sprinkle your favorite toppings (poppy seeds, Everything But the Bagel mix, sesame seeds, etc.) to top off your bagels. (I've even mixed fresh blueberries in with my dough to make sweeter bagels).
9. Bake for 20-22 minutes on 375 degrees, rotating the baking sheet midway through baking.
Recipe makes 12 bagels and each are only 2 points on the green plan. Enjoy!
