[INGREDIENTS]
Makes about 100 cookies (Egg size: 1.25 width 1.75 height before baking)
Today: 5 designs, 15-17cm long each.
• Unsalted butter: 339g (3 US sticks)
• Powdered sugar: 255g (9oz)
• Salt: 1/2 tsp
• Whole egg (Large): 1 1/2 eggs
• Egg yolk (Large): from 1 1/2 eggs
• Cake flour: 525g (18.5oz)
• Almond flour: 115g (4oz)
• Colorings: Use any colors you like!
Egg wash as a glue
• Egg white: Water = 1:1
Bake at 340F | 170C for about 10 mins
And turn it down to 330F |165C and bake for another 10 mins or until the edges are slightly toasted.

Today, I am sharing how to make 3 kinds of slice-and-bake Christmas cookies: Christmas tree, reindeer, and present box! Last year, I shared another slice-and-bake Christmas cookies: Santa, Santa boots, and wreath cookies. And about 2 years ago, I shared how to make a slice-and-bake Christmas tree cookies - This time, I am sharing the easiest way to make it using a little trick!

???? The Ingredients To Make Slice-and-Bake Christmas Cookies
Makes about 50 - 60 cookies.
[Cookie Dough]
• Unsalted butter: 226 g | 8 oz (2 US sticks)
• Powdered sugar: 160 g | 5.6 oz (1 1/3 US cups)
• Salt: 1/4 tsp
• Egg: 1 medium egg (50 g)
• Egg yolk: 1 (Save the egg white for egg wash)
• Cake flour: 350 g | 12.3 oz (3 US cups)
• Almond flour: 70 g | 2.5 oz (3/4 Us cup)
[Egg wash]
• Egg white: 1 egg
• Water: about the same amount as egg white
[Decorations]
• Colorings: Green, brown, yellow, and red (Use any color you like!)
• Sprinkles: Your choice!
* All the 3 logs were about 15cm | 5.9 long and the diameter was about 4cm | 1.6. You can change the size and length as you like!
* Slice the logs with about 5mm | 0.2 intervals.
???? Bake at 350 F | 176 C for about 7 mins. Turn the temperature down to 330 F | 165 C and bake for another 5 - 7 minutes or more until the edge is slightly toasted.

Cookie Recipe ( Crispy melt away cookie BASE dough) :
- 750 gr soft room temp Butter ( 6 2/3 sticks )
- 300 gr Powdered Sugar ( 2 1/2 cups)
- 3 room temp X Large Egg Whites
- 900 gr All purpose Flour ( 6 cups + 1/2 cup)
- 3 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Salt
For tips and advice check the video.
Divide the dough into 5 equal portions and with each dough make 5 different cookies:
■ Vanilla Butter Cookies:
Leave the first dough as is.
You'll need a piping bag and a tip of your choice.
■ Linzer Cookies:
to the second cookie dough, add:
- 60 gr Almond Flour (1/2 cup)
- 40 gr All Purpose Flour ( 4 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
- Jam of your choice
■ Gingerbread *Style* Cookies:
to the third cookie dough, add:
- 2 3/4 tsp Ginger
- 3 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 or 3 tsp Cocoa Powder
- 40 gr Flour ( 4 tbsp)
For stronger gingerbread flavor add more ginger.
■ Sugar Cookies:
to the fourth cookie dough, add:
- 50 gr All Purpose Flour ( 5 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
■ Chocolate Sugar Cookies:
to the fifth cookie dough, add:
- 60 gr Sweetened Cocoa Powder ( 7 1/2 tbsp) ( Bloom the cocoa with 5 tbsp hot Milk) If you're using UNsweetened cocoa powder you may have to add 1 tbsp more icing sugar.
- 20 gr All Purpose Flour ( 2 tbsp)
- Melted good quality chocolate to fill the cookies
