Why is it called beef stroganoff?
Beef Stroganoff is a popular Russian dish of small pieces of beef fillet sautéed in sour cream sauce together with onions and mushrooms. The dish was named after Count Alexander Grigorievich Stroganoff, who lived in the late 19th century in Odessa. There're two versions of the dish's origin.
SIMPLE VERSION STROGANOFF RECIPE
Beef Chuck........... 500g
Vegetable Oil........ 3 Tbsp
Garlic................. 5 cloves
Onion.............. 1 medium
Mushroom....... 5pcs
Flour................ 2 Tbsp
Butter.............. 2 Tbsp
Salt & Pepper to taste...

Heavy Cream or All Purpose Cream... 1Cup
Beef Stock....1+1/2 Cups

Beef Stroganoff Recipe:
- 2 lbs. Beef Chuck Roast
- 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil (for sauteing beef)
- 1 Medium Onion
- 16 oz. White Button Mushrooms
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 2 large Garlic Cloves
- 1 1/2 teaspoon All Purpose Flour
- 2 2/3 Cup Unsalted Beef Stock
- 2/3 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Mustard (I used stone-ground mustard)
- Egg Noodles

Ingredients:
Beef fillet — 1 Kilogram,
Onion - 2 Pieces,

Sour cream - 100 Gram,
Tomato sauce - 100 Gram,
Potato starch — 1 tablespoon,

Cream — 100 Milliliters,

Crock-Pot Beef Stroganoff | Simple Weeknight Dinner | Albertsons
This Beef Stroganoff dish can easily be transformed from dinner to appetizer! Add the stroganoff to sour dough toast for a filling and flavorful appetizer, perfect for game day!
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 cup dry red wine (broth can be substituted for the wine)
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 lb mushrooms, cut in half
1 large onion, diced
5 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbs all-purpose flour
1 tsp dried thyme
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS
1. To a crockpot, add onion, mushrooms, beef, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and wine. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
2. Stir beef mixture and remove 1/4 cup broth. Whisk flour into broth and stir into crockpot. Turn crockpot temperature to high and cook for 10-15 minutes.
3. Add sour cream and mix well. Serve over egg noodles or rice, if desired.

Best Beef Stroganoff Recipe/How To Make Beef Stroganoff
Here I have prepared a classic beef stroganoff that is cooked in a wonderful, savory mushroom sauce and served over egg noodles. Please enjoy this recipe. Don't forget to comment, like, subscribe, and share!
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 pound stew meat or ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup sliced white mushrooms
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ground sage
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon heavy cream
3 tablespoons sour cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Brown beef, remove from skillet and set aside.
Add the rest of the butter.
Sauté onions and mushrooms until soft about 3-4 minutes.
Add garlic and cook about 30 seconds.
Add sage and flour and stir until flour is cooked, about 2 minutes.
Add beef broth, stirring constantly.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and the beef along with any accumulated juices.
Simmer on low heat until thickened, about 10 minutes.
Off heat, stir in cream and sour cream until combined.
Serve over noodles or rice.

Beef Stroganoff
1 16 0z box of pasta ( noodles or bow ties work best)
1 & 1/2 pounds of ground beef
3/4 cup gravy mix
3 cups water
1/2 of sour cream
1 onion soup packet
1. Start a pot of water to boil for the pasta
2. In another pot start browning the ground beef. When it is half way cooked through add the soup mix and continue browning until cooked thoroughly.
3. When water boils add your pasta to heavily salted water.
4. Once meat is cooked add 3 cups of water and then add the gravy mix and simmer 3-5 minutes till it thickens.
5. Drain cooked pasta and add to meat and gravy mix.
6. Stir in sour cream and enjoy.
