Quiche Lorraine

Recipe:
Ingredients-
-1 9inch unbaked pie crust
-1C. shredded swiss cheese or enough to cover the bottom of the crust
-4-6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
-2 green onions, sliced and chopped
-1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
-3 eggs, slighly beaten
-1C. light cream
-1/2tsp grated lemon peel (or more if desired)
-1/2tsp salt
Directions-
-Bake unpricked pie crust for 5 minutes at 425 degrees F. Remove from oven and arrange cheese, bacon in bottom of crust. Sprinkle with green onion and red pepper.
- In medium bowl combine eggs, cream, lemon pee,, and salt. Pour evenly on top of pie crust. Bake at 325 degrees F for 50 minutes.

Chicken Quiche is a French recipe that is savoury
Ingredients
* Short crust pastry
300 g all-purpose flour
150 g butter
1/2 salt
1 Tsp lemon juice/ Lime juice
Cold water
* Egg Cream Mixture
2 large eggs
1/2 cup thick cream / fresh milk
1/2 Tsp pepper powder
1/2 Tsp oregano
1/2 Tsp mix herbs
1/2 Tsp Salt
* Filling
Oil
1 Tbsp garlic
500 g chicken
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp pepper powder
1/4 Cup onion chopped
1 Tbsp Green chili chopped
1 Tsp chili powder
1 Tsp chili flakes
1 Tsp paprika powder
2 Tbsps tomato sauce
Some bell pepper (cubed)
1/4 Cup spring onion
Mozzarella cheese
Cherry tomatoes (halves)

How to make Quiche Lorraine - Fast and Easy Recipe
Learn how to make an easy variant on a French classic, the Quiche Lorraine. It's a French tart consisting of pastry crust filled with savoury custard and pieces of Bacon, Onions and Leeks.
This tart can be served hot or cold.

200gr of Bacon bits
2 large Onions

Hi everyone! :) Tonight for tea I made this classic quiche Lorraine! Very popular in the 70’s and 80’s but it’s kind of fell out of fashion how…but still loved by so many people. Very simple ingredients but surprisingly tasty with fantastic textures…it just works! Have a go and hope you enjoy,

Serves 6-7 people (I used a 23 x 2.5cm loose bottomed tin)
* 375g (around 13 oz) shortcrust pastry
* 250g (around 9 oz) bacon lardons (I used smoked)
* 200g (around 7 oz) gruyère cheese
* 200ml (around 7 oz) crème fraîche
* 200ml (around 7 oz) double cream
* 5 Medium eggs - 4 for the filling and 1 for sealing the pastry
* A good pinch of ground nutmeg, salt & pepper

CRUSTLESS QUICHE RECIPE
(makes 8 slices)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped (75g)
1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped (50g)
1/2 cup sweet potato, grated (75g)
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated, or any other melting cheese (100g)
5 eggs
1 cup cottage cheese (225g)
1/2 cup milk (120ml)
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup ground oats, or oat flour (25g)
NUTRITIONAL INFO (per slice):
158 calories, fat 8.6g, carb 7.9g, protein 12.3g
Preparation:
In a greased pan pan (I use 8-inch or 20cm cast iron skillet) layer down all the veggies and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
In a blender add 5 eggs, cottage cheese, milk, mustard, salt, black pepper, ground nutmeg and ground oats. Blend until really smooth.
Pour the mixture over the veggies and move around with a fork to evenly distrubute the filling.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350F (180C) for 35 minutes.
Let it cool for 20 minutes, then slice into 8 equal pieces.
Serve and enjoy!
