About Pai:
Pailin “Pai” Chongchitnant is the author of the Hot Thai Kitchen cookbook, co-host of a Canadian TV series One World Kitchen on Gusto TV, and creator and host of the YouTube channel Pailin's Kitchen.
Pai was born and raised in southern Thailand where she spent much of her playtime in the kitchen. She traveled to Canada to study Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and was later trained as a chef at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in San Francisco.
After working in both Western and Thai professional kitchens, she decided that her passion really lies in educating and empowering others to cook at home via YouTube videos, her cookbook, and cooking classes. Tasty's One Pan Pad Thai | Barry Tries #33
Welcome to another Barry tries video recipe attempt. This latest episode in the playlist we try out Buzzfeed Tasty's '1 saucepan Pad Thai'.. I always thought that it could be made pretty easy in one pan really but was really intrigued to try this method out, despite the unnecessary intensity of the steps it turned out super delicious!

Ingredients
For the sauce (or buy one ready made)
2tbsp fish sauce
2tbsp rice vinegar
2tbsp low salt soy sauce
2tbsp brown sugar
2tbsp lime juice (approx 1 lime) plus more for garnish
2tbsp sriracha, plus extra to taste
The rest
250g Rice noodles (thick style, not fresh ideally)
250g chicken breast, diced
2 shallots, chopped
2 large eggs, beaten with ½ tsp sesame oil
2tsp sesame oil
100g beansprouts
70g unsalted peanuts, bashed with a rolling pin in a bag, plus more for garnish
5 spring onions, chopped, plus more for garnish
Good handful coriander, chopped, plus more for garnish

15 - minute cooking: Pad thai #shorts #youtubeshorts
For fake sauce:
3 tbsps dark soy sauce
2 tbsps fish sauce
3 tbsps brown sugar
Heat up everything in the small sauce pan for 2 minutes and then let the sugar dissolve in the warm sauce.
For the meal:
Heat up your wok or the bigger pan you own with vegetable oil (medium heat) and fry tofu until it gets a little brown. Then add chopped 1/2 onion, 2 cloves of garlic and chili flakes. after few minutes add soft noodles and sauce. Give it a good stir. Now you can add whatever vegetable you like. I added green and red bell peppers, leek, broccoli, carrots (cut everything into long and thin pieces because we want that beansprouts texture). Now give it a really good stir and make sure the sauce is EVERYWHERE.
(If you want a vegan version - don’t add fish sauce and now you have a perfect vegan Pad thai ????)
However, if you want to continue, move everything on the one side of your wok and on the empty side pour 3 eggs. Break the yolks and again, move pad thai on these eggs and let it be there for good 2 minutes. Now, move it around so cooked eggs are everywhere, blessings the Pad thai.
