WHY DO YOU THINK WE DING THE BELL?
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1 STICK OF BUTTER
2 CUPS OF SUGAR
1/2 CUP OF MILK
4 TBSP COCOA POWDER
1 CUP OF PEANUT BUTTER
3 CUPS OF INSTANT OATS
2 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
HELPFUL TIP: Measure all ingredients prior to turning on the stove. Once the pot begins to boil the process goes very quickly without time to measure out the last 3 ingredients. Roll out Aluminum Foil or Parchment Paper on large cookie sheet OR counter top.
PROCEDURE:
1. In Medium Sauce Pan, add butter, sugar, milk & cocoa. Turn on the stove to medium heat.
2. Bring Mixture to a rolling boil. Once it is a at a full boil, boil for 1 minute to 1 minute 15 seconds. (varies depending on stove). Remove from heat.
3. Add Peanut Butter & Stir.
4. Add Oats & Stir
5. Add Vanilla & Stir
6. Drop by Tablespoons onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper Or aluminum foil. Let Cool for 30 minutes or until set. They can be stored in the fridge while waiting to set or after.
NOTE: You can put these in the fridge to cool because if you leave them out on the counter they will disappear. If you try other nut or see butters, let me know. If your cookies don't harden, it means they weren't boiled long enough. If they are are too crumbly after setting, it means they were boiled a little too long. It really depends on your stove top. Sometimes I've gotten away with 55 seconds and sometimes it takes 1 minute 15 seconds exactly depending on the stove I've used. I typically make 30 in a batch, but could make 36 if I wasn't as generous with some of the portions.

Peanut Butter Delights - A Classic No Bake Cookie!
This classic no-bake treat is fast and easy to make, and only requires a few ingredients. I remember having these in the grade school cafeteria - and they taste as good now as they did back then!
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
4 TBSP butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 TBSP cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 cups quick cooking oats
Prepare a couple of cookie sheets with parchment paper, or waxed paper.
In a large pot, combine sugar, milk, butter, vanilla and cocoa. Over medium heat combine and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil gently for 1 minute.
Add peanut butter and stir in until peanut butter is melted and combined. Add oats and remove from heat. Stir to make sure all oats are complete coated in chocolate mixture. Set pan aside for about five minutes so that it cools slightly.
Using a tablespoon, drop mixture on to parchment lined cookie sheets. Cookies will harden as they cool. Put cookie sheets in the refrigerator for 35-45 minutes, or in the freezer for 15 minutes. You can also let them just cool to room temperature. They should be kept in a sealed container in the refrigerator, but they won't last long! Enjoy!
