How To make Tozzetti Or Biscotti(Hazelnut Cookies)
2 cups flour
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon lemon rind
grated
1/4 cup Sambuca :
anise-flavored lique
1/4 cup rum
1 1/2 cups hazelnuts -- peeled,blanched,whol
2 tablespoons baking powder
Can use almonds instead of hazelnuts.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a large baking pan and dust with flour. Shake off excess flour. Combine the flour, sugar, eggs, lemon rind, liqueur and rum in a mixing bowl and beat with a wooden spoon until thoroughly blended. Beat in the hazelnuts (or almonds) and bakingg powder. Using the hands, pick up half the dough [ick!] and shape it into a long sausage shape. Arrange it on the prepared baking pan, off center and not too close to the edge of the pan. Arrange the other half alongside but not too close. Both masses will spread as they bake. Place in the oven and bake for 1 hour. Remove from the pan and let cool for 20 minutes. Carefully and gently run a spatula or pancake turner under the 2 pastries. Let stand until almost at room temperature. Using a serrated bread knife cut each pastry into cross-wise slices, each about 1-inch think. Arrange these in one layer on a baking sheet and return to the oven to dry out, about 10 minutes. Let cool and store. These cookies are improved if a little anisette or other anise-flaovred liqueur is poured or brushed over them in advance of serving.

Italian Almond Biscotti “Cantucci” Recipe
Crunchy and delicious with a slight citrus scent and almond pieces. Cantucci are famous Italian biscuits, specifically from Tuscany.
This is my recipe:
270 g all-purpose flour (1 cup + 3/4 cup)
140 g sugar (3/4 cup)
2 eggs
140 g almonds (1 cup)
40 g butter (3 tbsps)
1 tsp baking powder
lemon zest
*For guaranteed results, it is strongly suggested to use grams as the unit of measurement.

Slices with hazelnuts (Tozzetti)
How to make real Slices or Tozzetti with Hazelnuts:
it was a dessert that was usually prepared at the turn of the month of
September (month of harvest) and the beginning of October.
This dessert was then reused by children also to have breakfast in the morning, soaking the slices with hot milk.
Whenever he got ready for the harvest, he could hear himself in the distance
the scent of toasted hazelnuts and that unmistakable smell of biscuit dough and vanilla; to then find them at the table together with a glass of Vin Santo which, dipping them in the liquid, melted in the mouth.

BISCOTTI NOCCIOLE e CIOCCOLATO ???? Idea regalo per Natale ????
Vi consiglio di provare questi Biscotti al Cioccolato, Nocciole e Nutella, vi faranno impazzire tanto sono buoni! Hanno proprio il sapore della Crema spalmabile (grazie alla presenza delle nocciole) ma in versione biscotto! Viene cotto in 2 fasi, prima intero ottenendo un grande biscotto morbido (già buono così) da inzuppare nel caffè latte o da servire con il te, poi tagliato a fette (così si vedranno tutte le nocciole) poi per farli “Biscottare” e renderli friabili si rinfornano per pochi minuti! Grazie a questo passaggio si conserveranno più a lungo!
????Si infornano in 2 fasi:
Prima a 175° statico 170° ventilato per 20 mini circa
Poi dopo averli affettati inforniamo per 10 minuti circa a 160° Statico 155° Ventilato
????Ingredienti: per circa 16 Biscottoni
220 g Farina 0
80 g Cacao amaro
1/2 bustina di Lievito in polvere per dolci
180 g Zucchero
2 pizzichi di sale
3 Uova
50 ml Olio di semi
3 cucchiaini di Miele (acacia o millefiori)
150 g Nocciole
Per decorare:
Cioccolato fondente (o al latte o Bianca)
2 cucchiaini di Nutella
Nocciole tritate
