More Alaska Snow Days??? Cook, Bake, and Hang Out @ HOME!
We have been having crazy weather here in Alaska. After a break in the snow for the weekend, wee are having more SNOW DAYS!! Come cook, bake, and hang out with us stuck at HOME!
Banana Cake:
Sliders:
Chewy Chocolate Sugar Cookies:
12 TBS unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 TBS molasses
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar, plus 1/4 cup for rolling
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Microwave 4 tbs butter in bowl. Add cocoa and molasses and whisk until combined. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl. Using a stand mixer, beat the remaining 8 tbs butter and 1 cup sugar on medium speed until fluffy, 3-6 minutes. Add cocoa mixture and beat until combined. Add egg and vanilla, and mix until incorporated. Reduce speed to slow and slowly add flour mixture until just combined.
Spread 1/4 cup sugar in a shallow dish. Working with 1 TBS of dough at a time, roll into balls, and then roll in sugar. Space balls 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Bake until cookies have puffed and cracked and the centers are set, 12-14 minutes. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
