How To make Applesauce Spice Cake
3 cups Water
divided
1 1/4 c Raisins
2 1/2 cups Unsweetened apple sauce
3 Eggs :
beaten
2 tablespoons Powdered sugar substitute
1 c Vegetable oil
3 cups Self rising flour
3 T Ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
2 T Vanilla extract
1 Vegetable cooking spray
Combine 2 1/2 cups water and raisins in a small dutch oven; bring to a boil. B oil until water evaporates or is absorbed by raisins. Remove from heat. Add A pplesauce, eggs, sugar, oil and remaining 1/2 cup water. Stir until well combi ned. Sift together flour, cinnamon, soda; gradually add to applesauce mixture with vanilla, stirring after each addition. spoon better into a 10 inch bundt pan coated with cooking spray. bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until wooden p ick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from p an and cool on a wire rack.

Homemade Applesauce Cake Recipe

In a large bowl combine:
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp salt
In a medium bowl combine:
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
Mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Put batter in a well greased 9 x 13 pan. Mix together:
1 TBS white sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Sprinkle over the cake batter. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 - 35 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool for 20 minutes and serve! You can top with whipped cream, confectionary sugar, ice cream or frosting!

Ingredients I used:

2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 cups brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes

Applesauce Spice Cake
Dry Ingredients:
2 ½ cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
½ teaspoon cloves
¼ tsp nutmeg
Additional Ingredients:
1 ½ cups applesauce
½ cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick (1/2 cup) soft butter
2 eggs
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350⁰; oil and flour (or use non-stick spray) 2 round baking pans for layers (8”-9” diameter)
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl, then add additional ingredients and mix by hand until well mixed, then mix for 3 minutes with electric beater.
Pour batter into pans.
Bake 40-45 min. or when a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool.
Simple Quick Frosting:
Melt ½ cup butter (one stick); let cool, add 2 tsp vanilla, add one-1 lb box (2 cups) confectioner sugar; add 3 tbsp hot water and mix well, add additional hot water 1 tbsp at a time until desired consistency.
