How To make Caramel Apple Pecan Pie
Pastry for 2-crust 9" pie 4 McIntosh apples; peeled/
-cored/thin sliced (1 lb) 1/2 c Pecans; chopped
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 lb Caramels; coarse chopped
2 tb Flour
1/4 c Milk
Milk; for top Sugar; for top 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Ease 1 round of pastry
into a 9-inch pan. 2. In a large bowl, toss together apples, pecans,
sugar, caramels, flour and milk. Spoon mixture into pie shell. 3. Top with the remaining pastry. Fold the edge of the
top pastry under the bottom pastry. Pinch together and flute the edge with a fork. Cut several slits in the top so the steam can escape during baking. Brush top with milk and sprinkle with sugar. 4. Bake until crust is golden brown, about 45 minutes.

Caramel Apple Pie with Pecans on top .. Easy Recipe..yummy ????????
6-8 apples diced up
add 3/4 cup of water
a half a stick of butter
let it boil on medium heat
until the apples are the desired texture
in a separate bowl mix:
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar
and heaping teaspoon of cinnamon
after the butter has melted in the saucepan
add the dry ingredients
drizzle a bit of caramel on the apples (if desired)
when apples are at the desired texture it becomes more saucy
then you add the apples to the pie crust
and add the graham cracker crumbs and the nuts on top drizzle with a zigzag pattern of caramel across the top
and then I lightly sprinkle sea salt across the caramel
bake at 3:50 for approximately 35 minutes or until it looks done
it is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream

**on a side note if you are in a hurry and don't want to dice the apples you can buy the fried apples in a can or the caramel apple pie filling those work good too.. but honestly they are not comparable to the fresh Apple taste

Spiced crust ingredients:
100g (½ cup) of wheat flour
50g of butter at room temperature
13g (1 tablespoon) of sugar
15ml (1 tablespoon) of milk
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
1 pinch of nutmeg
1 pinch of salt
Apple filling ingredients:
1 egg
2 big apples
50g (¼ cup) of wheat flour
13g (1 tablespoon) of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
80ml (⅓ cup) of milk
1 pinch of salt
Caramel apple-pecan topping ingredients:
1 apple
40g (¼ cup) of pecan nuts
5g (1 teaspoon) of butter
60g (¼ cup) of sugar
60ml (¼ cup) of hot milk
1 pinch of sea salt
Pie pan of 16cm x 2cm

Caramel Pecan Apple Pie.

Preparation Time: 45 Min
Baking Time: 65- 75 Min plus cooling time.
Ingredients:
1. Ready made single-crust pie (9 inches)
2. 7 cups sliced peeled red apples (about 6–7 medium)
3. 1 teaspoon lime juice
4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5. 3/4 cup chopped pecans
6. 1/3 cup brown sugar
7. 3 tablespoons sugar
8. 4 teaspoons cinnamon powder
9. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
10. 1/4 cup caramel
11. 3 tablespoons melted butter
STREUSEL TOPPING: Streusel is a crumbly topping of flour, butter and sugar that is baked on top of pies and cakes and other such stuff.
1. 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2. 1/4 cup sugar
3. 6 tablespoons grated cold butter
4. 2/3 cup chopped pecans
5. 1/4 cup caramel
Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Peel the apples and thinly slice them.
3. In a large bowl, toss apples with lime juice and vanilla extract.
4. In a sieve, mix sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon powder, cornstarch and chopped pecans and add them to apples and toss to combine.
5. Spread caramel topping onto bottom of crust. Fill with apple mixture. Drizzle with melted butter.
6. For streusel topping, mix flour and sugar. Grate the cold butter and mix the whole thing until they become crumbly. Next put in the pecans. Sprinkle over the apple filling.
7. Bake for 65–75 minutes on a lower oven rack until filling is bubbly. Drizzle with caramel topping. Cool on a wire rack. If desired, serve with whipped cream and additional caramel topping.
Tips:
Cold butter is ideal for baked goods that should be crisp - it also helps create those beautiful, flaky layers. For best results when using cold butter, grate butter or use a food processor or pastry knife.
