How To make Chicken And Chive Dumplings
Ingredients

cabbage

tablespoon
soy sauce
1/2
pound
chives, minced

teaspoon
sesame oil

pound
chicken, beef, or pork, ground
1/2
pound
mundoo pi (dumpling wrapper)
1 1/4
teaspoon
salt
1
soy sauce
1
ginger root, slivers
1
vinegar
Directions:
Slice cabbage coarsely; add to blender. Add water to cover cabbage. Cover and blend on high for 2 seconds. Drain and repeat until all cabbage is shredded. Squeeze cabbage to remove moisture. blanch, rinse, and finely chop chives. Combine cabbage, chives, chicken, salt, soy sauce, and sesame oil; mix well. Put 1 tablespoon of filling in center of each pi. Fold wrapper in half and seal edges.
Bring water to a boil, add dumplings and cook 5 minutes. Rinse dumplings under cold water to prevent from sticking together. Serve with soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger.
Makes 4 servings.

I went to Portland with my family for a few days, so I thought I’d prep some dumplings and wontons for my husband while I am away so he has something quick and easy to eat!
One of my favorite things to do on Sundays is meal prepping! This week I will be preparing dumplings, wontons, and potstickers. ???? I wrapped around 500 in total, so I thought I’d share this process with you; so, let’s wrap dumplings together.
We got chives and pork dumplings, pork and cabbage potstickers, and shrimp and pork wontons.
If you don’t consume pork, swap for chicken instead :) I also have a vegetarian dumpling recipe below too!
These may seem intimidating initially but don’t worry, and I’ve got tons of secret tips and tricks that will make this process fun and easy!
I also did a detailed blog post below on exact measurements. The only thing not featured is the wrappers which will be in my cookbook coming out next year.

200 grams sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1cm cubes
200 grams pork mince
1 ½ tablespoons Lee Kum Kee Premium Light Soy Sauce, divided
¼ teaspoon Lee Kum Kee Pure Sesame Oil
¼ teaspoon caster sugar
½ tablespoon corn flour
Pinch white pepper
100 grams pork belly, chopped
100 grams prawns, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
150 grams chestnut mushrooms, chopped
2 tablespoons Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce
2 teaspoons Lee Kum Kee Premium Dark Soy Sauce
400 grams cooked rice

It’s time to do away with those store-bought dumplings. Why eat frozen dumplings when you can prepare your very own fresh dumplings at home from scratch! Juicy minced pork paired with that mild sweet and peppery zing of the chives, such simple ingredients but packed with bountiful flavours - the perfect quick fix to appease those dumpling cravings.
Rather than frying, steaming the dumplings brings about that seductively tender texture. This classic combination of pork and chives enclosed in that chewy dumpling skin is so simple to make, just an hour is enough to cook up a feast for a dim sum party. Ground pork is the most common ingredient used, but nothing compares to the versatility of homemade dumplings. Feel free to play around with different combinations of ingredients and fill your table and tummies with row after row of these tiny savoury delights. Just make sure not to miss out on the Shaoxing wine, those few drops are the vital point to perfecting that deep flavour.
