Directions:
Mix together water, gravy mix, dressing, and italian seasoning. Pour over roast in crockpot. Cook on LOW about 2 hours. Break up roast and cook 1 more hour. Serve on hamburger buns.
Variation: use 4 lb chuck roast, 1 package good seasons mix and 1/2 cup water.

INGREDIENTS:
3-4 lb beef roast (chuck, blade or round recommended)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 package Italian dressing mix or garlic herb seasoning
2 cups low sodium beef broth
1 jar pepperoncini peppers with juice*
12 sub or hoagie rolls
12 slices provolone, havarti or mozzarella cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place roast in a 4-6 quart crockpot. Season all over with salt, pepper and Italian dressing mix.
Pour beef broth and 3/4 cup brine from the jar of pepperoncinis into the bottom of the crockpot. Add 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers on top. (*For less spice, use only the brine and no peppers)
Cook on low for 10-11 hours until fall apart tender (if you want it to cook more quickly, cut into 3-4 smaller pieces and cook for 8 hours).
Shred beef in juices and serve on buns with cheese and additional pickled pepperoncinis as desired.

How to Make: Crockpot Italian Beef
Makes about 6 sandwiches
1 container beef broth (48ozs)
1 pkg onion soup mix
1-1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
1 tsp granulated garlic powder
2 tsp chopped onion flakes
1/2 tsp paprika
2 pkg shaved beef
2 green bell peppers
Add first 7 ingredients to a pot bring to a boil. Then add the liquids plus the meat to the slow cooker. Cook 2 hours then add 1 inch strips of green bell peppers. Enjoy!!!!

Ingredients Needed:
- I used 4 lbs total of Chuck Roast and Boston Arm Roast (1 each) any roast will do!
- 4-6 Cups of beef broth (depending on how much gravy you want.
- Good Bread for the sandwiches
- Garlic Powder 1 Tsp
- Garlic Cloves (I used 10)
- Basil 1/2 Tsp
- Oregano 1/2 Tsp
- Black Pepper 1/4 Tsp
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Pepperoncini (or banana peppers)
- DON'T FORGET THE HOT GIARDINIERA MIXTURE! Get it HERE:
Directions:
- Sear your roast(s) in a hot pan with oil on ALL sides seasoning with salt and pepper
- Preheat your slow cooker (with beef broth in it) to LOW
- Place half the spice mixture (see video for clarification) into the broth and mix
- Place roasts into broth them add remaining ingredients (see video)
- Allow to cook ON LOW for 6+ hours or until fork shred tender
- Shred beef and allow meat to continue to absorb flavors in cooker for 1-2 hours for best taste
- Build your sandwich and ENJOY!!!!

Slow Cooked Italian Beef - Lynn's Recipes
A really simple, great beef dish to shred and make sandwiches. This has a really great taste and is something that can be made ahead.
1 (3-5 pound) beef roast
1 can low sodium beef broth
1 teaspoon salt (I omitted this -- there is plenty of salt in the Italian Dressing Mix, but if you like your food a little saltier, you may want to add the salt)
1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 bay leaf
2 packages of Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix
Combine roast, beef broth and seasonings in a slow cooker. Cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours, until meat is tender and shreds easily. When it's done, remove the bay leaf, shred meat with fork and place back into juices in slow cooker. Place meat in hoagie buns with mayonnaise, if desired, mozzarella cheese or provolone cheese. You can add peppers, onions, tomato, etc. if desired to sandwich.
