French Baked Brie with Cranberries, Walnuts and Honey
A magical warm soft cheese recipe for the winter months. There’s no better holiday appetiser especially in Winter, for Christmas or thanksgiving. What could be better than warm melty cheese (not melted) over crispy croutons or crackers. With a hit of tangy fruit, sweetness of honey and saltiness of the cheese, it’s an explosion of festive flavours with each bite. It’s a good idea to let the Brie rest a few minutes before digging in so it’s not too runny.
Ensure you don’t over bake it or it will be a mess, I would suggest staying glued to the oven for a few minutes. When it starts to melt on all the edges, it’s ready.
Enjoy it this winter or anytime you like as I can eat this all year round.

How to make bread croutons crispy on the outside and soft on the inside? This is a great starter for soups, salads and other dishes. Crispy, juicy, tender bread toasts will not leave anyone indifferent. The piquant taste of garlic complements any dish served with croutons. Plus, they always work! Ingredients:
• ray bread - to taste
• garlic - 8 cloves.
• olive oil - 20-30ml.
Take half a loaf of black rye bread.
Cut off the bread crusts from all sides.
Cut the pulp into 2 by 2 cm sticks.
Crush 5-6 garlic cloves.
Add olive oil and salt, mix.
Add olive oil to the pan.
Add garlic and remove after 20 seconds.
Put the pieces of bread in a frying pan.
Fry on all sides until golden brown.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Add garlic oil to each piece.
Serve as shown in the video.

Baked Cheese 'Croutons' | Fresh P
Bake up a batch of cheddar cheese 'croutons' while your soup is warming up. These are lovely in salads, sandwiches and crumbled over sautéed greens and they're gluten-free.
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated per crisp
DIRECTIONS
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 Celsius.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a non stick sheet such as a Silpat.
Spread your cheese out thin into small, medium or large circles. Be sure to make it as thin as you can w/o a lot of holes in the middle.
Bake for 5-7 minutes. The cheese should be melted, but not browning.
Cool in the pan for 5 minutes or until they're crisp enough to remove.

CAMEMBERT EN CROUTE
Recipe Ingredients:
1 sheet frozen puff pastry
1 large egg
1 teaspoon water
1 large pear
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons dried cranberries
2 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)
1 Camembert cheese round (8 ounces)
Cooking Directions:
Thaw the puff pastry sheet at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C).
Combine the egg and water in a small bowl to create a wash and reserve.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the pear slices and brown sugar and sauté until lightly softened, about 5 minutes and stir in dried cranberries and nuts
Remove from the heat and allow the fruit mixture to cool slightly.
Unfold the pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface. Roll to about an 11-inch square and cut off the corners to make a circle.
Cut the Camembert in half using a sharp knife heated with hot water.
Place the lower half of the Camembert in the center of the pastry sheet and top with half of the pear mixture.
Place the top of the Camembert - cut side down - on top of the pears. Top with the remaining fruit mixture.
Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg mixture then fold the two opposite sides over the cheese. Trim the remaining two sides about 2-inches in from the cheese then brush with the egg mixture and fold them over onto the cheese. Press the edges to seal
Place the cheese seam side down on a baking sheet brush with the remaining egg mixture. If you have extra time, cut decorative leaves from the reserve pastry scraps roll a few tiny pastry balls to make the picture complete
Arrange the leaves and balls decoratively garnish with a little rosemary and brush with more of the egg mixture.
Now bake in a preheated oven until its golden brown - about 20 minutes.
Let it stand for 15 minutes before serving.
Makes 8 servings.
