Ingredients 2 pound chicken parts 8 oz pineapple chunks 1 cup chicken broth 2 tablespoon shortening 2 tablespoon brown sugar 1/4 cup vinegar 2 teaspoon soy sauce 1 each large onion 1 each med. green pepper 3 tablespoon cornstarch 1/4 cup water
Directions: Drain pineapple, reserving syrup. In skillet brown chicken in shortening. Pour off fat. Add reserved syrup, broth, brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic. Cover and cook over low heat 40 minutes. Add green pepper amd pineapple cook 5 minutes. Combine cornstarch and water gradually stir into sauce.
