How To Make Classic Shrimp Creole Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds shrimp - shelled and cleaned
1 cup finely diced onions
2-3 stalks finely diced celery
1 finely diced green bell pepper
1 - 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 cup shrimp stock *
1 can chopped clams and juice
4-5 cloves minced garlic
1 to 1 1/2 tbsp. creole seasoning
1 tbsp. hot sauce
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
1-2 bay leaves
1 tbsp. sugar
salt and black pepper
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. flour
* Simple Shrimp Stock:
2 pounds of shrimp shells
2-3 cups of water
*In a saucepan add shells and cover with water. Bring to a simmer and
cook for 30 minutes. Strain and cool shrimp stock.
In saucepan on medium heat add olive oil, butter, onions, celery, green bell
peppers, salt and black pepper..
Cook and stir for about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds and then add flour.
Cook and stir for one minute or until flour is absorbed.
Slowly add shrimp stock, crushed tomatoes, chopped clams and juice.
Stir to combine.
Add seasonings, stir and bring up to a simmer.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes occassionally stirring.
Taste for seasonings and add 1/4 tsp. additional Cajun creole seasoning.
Stir to combine and add shrimp.
Bring to simmer and cook for 4-5 minutes or until shrimp is done.
Serve with rice or grits.
Enjoy.

How to Make Shrimp Creole
Bring the heart of Louisiana right to your own kitchen with this easy Shrimp Creole recipe that takes just 30 minutes to make, all in one pot! It’s healthy and packed with flavor from the perfectly cooked shrimp in spicy creole sauce.
????INGREDIENTS????
4 Tablespoons butter
1 large onion, diced
1 rib celery, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 Tablespoon flour
1/3 cup dry white wine (optional)
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes, or about 1 1/4 cups peeled and diced fresh tomatoes
1 cup chicken stock
2 bay leaves
Hot pepper sauce, such as Tabasco, to taste
2 lb large uncooked shrimp, (about 32)
6-8 cups hot cooked rice, for serving
2 green onions, chopped, for garnish
????INSTRUCTIONS????
1. Add butter to a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic and sauté until veggies are lightly browned.
2. In a small bowl whisk together the thyme, salt, pepper, cayenne and flour. Stir into onion mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
3. Deglaze the pan with wine (if using) and then add chicken stock, tomatoes, bay leaves and hot sauce. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove bay leaves. Add shrimp and cook until pink, just 3-4 minutes.
Serve over hot cooked rice and garnish with green onion.
