Prep Time: 10 minutes
Chill Time: 4 hours
Total Time: 4 hours, 10 minutes (10 minutes active)
Yields: 8 – 12 servings
Ingredients:
1 pre-made chocolate cookie pie crust (Aisle 6)
1 ½ quarts of vanilla bean, salted caramel, or chocolate fudge ice cream, softened on the counter for 10 minutes (Frozen)
Chocolate sundae syrup (Frozen)
Caramel sundae syrup (Frozen)
½ cup pecans, chopped (Aisle 6)
Creamy whipped topping, for serving (Frozen)
Maraschino cherries, for serving (Aisle 3)
Directions:
Scoop 1/3 of the softened ice cream into the bottom of the pie crust. Using a warm spoon, spread the ice cream into an even layer. Drizzle a layer of chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and sprinkle half the chopped nuts over the ice cream.
Add the remaining 2/3 of the softened ice cream over top. Spreading again with a warm spoon. Finish the pie with another layer of chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and chopped pecans.
Cover and freeze the pie for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
When ready to serve, slice with a warm knife and top with a dollop of whipped topping and a cherry.
*To warm the spoon and knife, carefully place in a glass of water that has been microwaved for 2 minutes.
*There may be some leftover ice cream (if using a 1 ½ quart container), that’s ok! Just fit as much in as you’d like.
*If you don’t want two layers of turtle sundae deliciousness, simply fill the pie crust with softened ice cream, smooth the top, and cover with sundae toppings before freezing.
