How To make Green Beans with Mushrooms
2 lb Green beans, fresh; 1"pieces
3 c Water, salted; boiling
1 ts Salt
1 ts Sugar
3 oz Mushrooms, sliced canned
1/2 c Butter; melted
Place beans in saucepan containing boiling walted water. Add salt and sugare. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes; drain. Saute mushrooms in butter and add to beans. Nancy O'Brion NOTE: Food Exchange per serving: 1 VEGETABLE EXCHANGE + 1 FAT EXCHANGE (Nancy O'S note: 1/2 Cup of butter I sure would use margarine and would, for sure, cut back on it even though I switched to margarine MAKE IT WORK. I find it is really important to fix them veggies that are taste for the diet.....) NANCY C'S NOTE: Yes, the recipe DOES call for 1/2 cup butter. This seems excessive to me so I'll probably just use a tablespoon or two. (Sorry Nancy C. not me!!! It will be 1 to 2 tablespoon margarine for me) SOURCE: Southern Living Magazine, sometime in 1973. French’s Classic Green Bean Casserole | We Promise Great Taste
A holiday favorite, Green Bean Casserole, is topped with French’s Crispy Fried Onions. This classic Thanksgiving recipe is creamy, crunchy, and an overall hit with everyone!
-RECIPE-
Ingredients
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
3/4 cup milk
1/8 tsp. black pepper
4 cups cooked cut green beans or 2 cans (14.5oz each) any style Del Monte® Green Beans, drained
1 1/3 cups FRENCH'S® Crispy Fried Onions
Directions
MIX soup, milk and pepper in a 1 1/2 -qt. baking dish. Stir in beans and 2/3 cup Crispy Fried Onions.
BAKE at 350°F for 30 min. or until hot. Stir.
TOP with remaining 2/3 cup onions. Bake 5 min. until onions are golden.
**For a twist, try the Festive Green Bean Casserole.

Roasted Green Beans and Mushrooms
These simple oven roasted green beans and mushrooms are great to throw together for your meal prep or family dinner.
1 pound green beans, cleaned and trimmed
2 garlic cloves, rough chop
1 shallot, sliced
2 small portobello mushrooms, sliced
Grapeseed oil
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Toss all ingredients expect the mushrooms in the grapeseed oil. Scatter the mushrooms on the top of the green beans and spray lightly with cooking spray.
Roast in the oven 15-20 minutes, being careful not to overcook the green beans.
