How To make Jamaican Rice and Peas with Coconut Milk
1 1/2 c cooked red kidney beans
: reserve liquid 2 cloves garlic :
chopped
1 1/4 c unsweetened coconut milk
: Water (enough to make 2 1/4 : cup combined liquid) 1 c rice
2 green onions -- chopped
1 sprig fresh thyme-(1 to 2)
: Salt to taste : Coarse black pepper to : taste Cook red kidney beans to package directions. Put cooked beans into a large saucepan or pot. Add chopped garlic. Measure all liquids, including reserved bean liquid, coconut milk and water enough to make 2 1/4 cups. Add the 2 1/4 cups of liquid to the beans and garlic in the pot. Add rice, crushed green onion, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Jamaican Rice & Peas using Canned Beans and coconut milk, it’s quick and easy but with the same great taste!
Brown Stew Chicken Recipe
Authentic Jamaican Rice & Peas Recipe
**Ingredients**
2 Can of Kidney Beans
1 Can Coconut milk, Powder or Cream
Scallion & Thyme
4 cloves chopped garlic
Whole scotch bonnet pepper
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Jerk Seasoning or all purpose seasoning
1 tbsp Sugar (optional )
1 tbsp butter
3 cups Rice
*1 & 1/2 cups of liguid for every 1 cup of rice ratio
*Steam rice on very low heat as cooking too quickly will cause the pot to dry out and the rice will still be uncook
If Rice is uncook after the water dries out, add a bit more water cover with aluminum foil and allow to steam some more

????Ingredients
2 cups red kidney beans
5 cups rice
1 stalk scallions
3 tbsp fresh thyme
1 or 2 whole scotch bonnets Pepper
1 Tsp pimento/all spice
3 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp fresh ginger
2 Tsp salt
1 Tbsp All Purpose Season
1 tbsp unsalted butter
????Rice cook for around 45 minutes in total
????Peas can take over 1 hour to cook

For this Jamaican Rice & Peas Recipe, you’ll need:
• 2 cups rice (please use the measuring cup provided with the rice cooker)
• 2 cups water (please check your rice cooker to determine rice/water ratio)
• 4 - 6 tbsp coconut milk powder
• 1 can red kidney beans
• 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 tsp allspice
• 1/2 tsp all-purpose seasoning
• 1/2 tsp ginger powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
• 1/4 tsp scotch bonnet pepper (to taste)
• 1 clove garlic, crushed
• 1 tsp yellow onion, finely chopped
• 6 pimento seeds
• 1 sprig fresh thyme, chopped
• 1 stalk scallion (green onion) chopped
[Total Cooking Time is approximately 35 mins.]
