Molasses Crackles: A How-To From Raggedy Hen Farm
Join Kori in the kitchen and she prepares a delicious fall treat: Molasses Crackles. These yummy, not-too-sweet cookies are a family favorite that can be enjoyed year round.
Visit us:
RECIPE:
¾ cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar—brown or white
1 egg
¼ cup dark molasses
2 ¼ cup unbleached, all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon Raggedy Hen Farm Baking Spice Blend or 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ginger, ½ teaspoon cloves, ½ teaspoon nutmeg
White sugar for rolling
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease baking sheets with oil or vegetable shortening.
Mix butter, sugar, egg and molasses in a large bowl—either by hand or with mixer—until well-blended and creamy. Blend dry ingredients together and then add to the creamed mixture. Mix until dough is well incorporated and forms a stiff mound.
Shape pieces into walnut-sized balls of dough and roll in sugar. Place 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove and cool on rack. Makes 3-4 dozen cookies.

Keto Chewy Ginger Cookies
These keto ginger molasses cookies are really one of the best keto cookie recipes I ever created. They have the perfect texture and truly have that chewiness you’re looking for in a ginger molasses cookie. But they don’t contain any molasses at all!
