How To make Mom's Pepper Steak
Ingredients
1 1/2
pound
sirloin steak, cut in 1/2 inch strips
1
tablespoon
paprika
2
each
garlic cloves, crushed
2
tablespoon
butter or margarine
1
cup
onion, sliced
2
each
bell peppers, cut in strips
2
lg
tomatoes, diced
1
cup
beef broth
1/4
cup
water
2
tablespoon
cornstarch
2
tablespoon
soy sauce
3
cup
cooked rice, hot
Directions:
Sprinkle steak with paprika and allow to stand while preparing other ingredients. Cook steak and garlic in butter until meat is brown. Add onions and green peppers; continue cooking until vegetables are wilted. Add tomatoes and broth; cover and simmer about 45 minutes. Blend water with cornstarch and soy sauce. Stir into steak and cook until thickened. Serve over rice.

Today I'm showing you how to make pepper steak. This simple & delicious recipe is perfect for a quick dinner at home. As mentioned in the video, you can use whatever steak you’d like. I usually only cook for 2 people, so you can also up your portions in terms of the ingredients. I hope you guys enjoy and try this recipe! ????

♡INGREDIENTS♡
•1 pound beef chuck steak
•pinch of meat tenderizer seasoning
•pinch of black pepper
•pinch of garlic powder
•3 tbsp oil (for stir frying steak & veggies)
•1 red bell pepper, chopped or julienned
•1 green bell pepper, chopped or julienned
•1 yellow bell pepper, chopped or julienned
•1-inch ginger root, chopped (as finely as u prefer)
•3 cloves garlic, chopped (as finely as u prefer)
•2 stalks scallion, chopped
•1 medium onion, chopped
♡FOR SAUCE♡
•1/3 cup soy sauce
•1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
•1 tbsp oyster sauce
•1 cup beef broth
•2 tbsp light brown sugar
•2 tbsp ketchup
•1 1/2 tbsp flour (or cornstarch)

The Mother Of All Steak Sauces (Other Meats Too)- Classic Demi Glace
The most versatile classic sauce base, the uses for Demi glace are endless. I use it in my steak au poivre recipe but you can use it on chicken, pork or lamb too. Traditionally made with veal bones I opt for beef bones.
Make a beef broth from scratch and freeze it in quart containers. I have a great recipe in my French onion soup video
Once you have beef broth you can make this Demi glace quickly and easily. This sauce will freeze in cup containers for months.
Recipe:
4oz small pieces of beef (optional)
1/2 bottle red wine ( a bottle good enough to drink)
1 onion
2 carrots
2 stalks celery
3 garlic cloves smashed
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 quart heavy duty beef broth
yield: 1 cup demi glace
Notes:
-Make sure your beef stock is full of gelatin. That will make for a thick sauce
-Roast your meat and vegetables well to add flavor and color to final sauce
-Skim your sauce as much as possible
