How To make Simply Delicious Black Forest Cake
Baker's Joy No Stick Spray 1 pk Devil's food cake mix
-(18.25 oz) 3/4 ts Cinnamon
2 ct Lowfat cherry yogurt (8 oz)
2 Whole eggs
2 Egg whites
1/4 c 2% lowfat milk
1 ts Vanilla extract
TOPPING:
1 ct Frozen non-dairy whipped
-topping, thawed (8 oz) 1 cn Cheery pie filling, chilled
-(21 oz) Preheat oven to 350'F. Spray two 9x2" round cake pans with BAKER'S JOY. In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix at low speed, scraping bowl, for 1 minute until blended. Mix at medium speed for 3 minutes, until smooth. Turn batter evenly into prepared cake pans. Bake at 350'F. for 30-33 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 15 minutes. Release from pans; cool completely. To decorate, place on layer upside-down on large platter. With cake decorator tube or spoon, circle edge of cake layer with 1 cup whipped topping. Spread 1 cup cherry pie filling within center. Spread 1 cup whipped topping over filling. Top with second cake layer. Tube or spoon remaining whipped topping around outer edge. Spread center with remaining cherry filling. Chill at least 1 hour before serving. I am actually very happy with this recipe and if you want to make a stunning, bakery style, black forest cake at home then this recipe will come to your rescue. Believe it or not, this is an eggless cake, which has the perfect combination of chocolate and cherries!

For cake
* 2 cups (240gms) maida
* 1 cup (120gms) cocoa powder
* ½ tsp (3gms) baking soda
* 1 + ½ tsp (6gms) baking powder
* 1 (240ml) cup oil
* 2 + ¼ cup (450gms) caster sugar
* 1 + ½ cup (427gms) curd
* 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla
* ½ cup (120ml) milk
For cherry syrup
* 1 cup (140gms) cherries
* ¼ cup (50gms) sugar
* ¼ (60ml) water
For cherry compote
* 1 cup (140gms) cooked cherries (from syrup)
* 1 cup (140gms) fresh cherries
* ¼ cup (50gms) sugar
* 2 tbsp (30ml) water
* 1 tbsp (7 gms) cornflour
For ganache
* ½ cup (120ml) fresh cream
* ½ cup (90gms) chopped chocolate
For chocolate shavings
* Melted chocolate
* Whipped cream (to frost and layer)

300 gms Powdered sugar.
260 gms Butter.
Pinch of Salt.
6 Eggs.
1 Cup Cow's Milk.
260 gms Plain Flour or Maida.
4 & half tsp Baking powder.
50 gms Cocoa powder.
For the Syrup:-
250 gms seedless Black Grapes
( blackcurrent)
400 ml water.
half cup sugar.
For Whipping Cream:-
300 ml Chilled Water.
150 gm Whip cream powder.
If you love lots of whipping cream then
use 250 gms.
Red Cherries a few for decorating.
