1 Onion,large,thinly sliced
1 Garlic clove,minced/pressed
1/2 c Chicken broth
2 cn Albacore tuna*
1/2 c Celery,minced
2 tb Mayonnaise
8 Dark rye bread slices
1/4 lb Cheddar cheese,sharp**

broth. Bring to a boil over high heat; stir often until liquid evaporates and browned bit stick in pan. 2. Add half the remaining broth; stir to scrape browned bits free, then
boil again until liquid evaporates and browned bits form. Repeat step with remaining broth, cooking until liquid evaporates. Set onion mixture aside. 3. In a bowl, mix together tuna, celery, and mayonnaise. Top 4 slices bread
equally with tuna mixture, onion mixture, cheese, and remaining bread. 4. Wipe the pan clean. Place over medium heat and add 2 sandwiches. (If you
have another nonstick frying pan, toast all the sandwiches at once.) Cook until sandwiches are toasted on the bottom, about 4 minutes. Turn over and toast tops, about 4 minutes more.

the best tuna melt. this sandwich is perfection as is but if you want to take it to the next level, easy: add potato chips.
here’s the recipe!
1 tomato, sliced and salted (put it on a paper towel so it drains a bit of its liquid)
2 ribs of celery, finely diced
1/4 red onion, finely minced
3 tablespoons minced dill
1 can of tuna (mine was packed in water but tuna in olive oil also works) i used @wildplanetfoods
Juice from 1 small lemon
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons good quality mayonnaise (I used Kewpie)
Lots of black pepper
Kosher salt to taste
Bread of choice (I used a sour dough)
2 slices of colby jack (or other cheese)
Softened butter (for the bread
On a few sheets of paper towel, add the tomato slices. Sprinkle with salt and allow to sit until their moisture has been release, just until you’re done with making the tuna salad.
In a medium bowl, combine the celery, red onion, dill, tuna, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, lots of black pepper and a pinch of salt. Mix together and adjust the salt to your liking. Butter two slices of bread and then flip them over. Add the tuna to one half of the bread, top with a few slices of tomato and two slices of cheese. Add the other half of bread and transfer to a pan set over medium heat. Cook until the bread is toasted and golden brown; flip and cook on the opposite side for an additional minute or so. Slice in half and enjoy.

Sourdough bread really brings the tangy flavor tuna melt needs aside from the lemon I put. Cheddar cheese is my cheese of choice. You can add your favorite cheeses to the mix as well!

Makes 2 sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 1 can (180g) drained tuna in water
- 1/2 Small sized red Onion
-1/4 Lemon or 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Sugar (optional)
- Sourdough bread
- Butter

This sandwich recipe is very easy to make and very tasty. You can make it for breakfast or for lunch.
How to make tuna sandwich with mayo
Ingredients
1 canned tuna
2 tablespoons mayonnaise for make tuna salad
2 teaspoons mayonnaise for spread on the slices of bread
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon chopped yellow onion
1/2 dried dill
A little salt and black pepper to taste
60 g sliced lettuce
2 slices whole wheat bread
Instructions
1.In a bowl, combine together the canned tuna, mayonnaise and mustard.
2.Stir in the yellow onion, dried dill, salt and black pepper.
3.Place the tuna salad and sliced lettuce onto 2 slices of bread.
4.Spread the mayonnaise on the remaining 2 slices of bread, place it on top of the sliced lettuce, mayonnaise side down.
5.Cut the sandwiches into triangles or squares as you like. ENJOY!

Easy Grilled Tuna Sandwich
I really love a good sandwich and I take the art of sandwich making very seriously. Certain types of bread better for certain types of sandwiches, then depending on the sandwich you would determine whether or not you using toasted bread or not. Then of course, the bread to filling ratio will make or break any sandwich. One of my favorite sandwiches is a tuna paste sandwich. Now I wouldn't pretend as if every time I am making a tuna sandwich this amount of prep goes into it. Sometimes when I am on the go, I use 3 ingredients, lemon pepper, mayo and pepper sauce, mix that up and throw it in a bread and that's good enough for me. But other times I like to go the extra mile and jazz it up a bit. This is a simple 30 minute process for me that results in something so enjoyable its definitely worth a try.
