How To make Black Bean Chili Burgers
1 c -Water
1/2 c Quinoa; rinsed
2 c Black bean flakes
1 1/2 c -Boiling water
2 ts Chili powder
1 ts Ground cumin
1/2 c Fresh cilantro, chopped
2 Green onions; chopped
1/2 c Red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c Plain bread crumbs
3/4 ts Salt
2 ts Vegetable oil
OPTIONAL GARNISHES:
2 c Lettuce; shredded
1 c Grated lo-fat cheddar cheese
-OR cheddar-style soy cheese 1/2 c Nonfat sour cream
1 c Bottled salsa
Avocado; diced Ripe olives, sliced Green onions; chopped Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add quinoa, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Place black bean flakes in a medium-sized bowl. Stir in boiling water. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Combine 1/2 cup cooked quinoa with black beans, chili powder, cumin, cilantro, green onions, red bell pepper, bread crumbs and salt. Mix well. Lightly flour hands and divide mixture into six equal balls. Flatten each ball into a 1/4-inch-thick cake. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet. Cook each bean cake about 2 minutes each side. Serve topped with lettuce, cheese, nonfat sour cream, salsa and other garnishes, as desired. If you are like me who likes to take a break from meat, or you're vegetarian, or a vegan, this recipe is great for you! For vegans, just substitute the egg, with an egg replacement, and the cheese on top can be vegan cheese...just replace anything that's not vegan to vegan products. But other than that, this spicy veggie black bean burger recipe is a keeper!

Ingredients List for your convenience:
1 potato, boiled
(2) 15 oz. cans black beans, rinsed and drained
1 egg, beaten
3 scallions, sliced
1/2 tsp. red chili flakes
1 tsp. smoked paprika
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. curry powder

Hey Guys!!
I’ve heard you guys for a while now, wanting to make your own vegan burgers so I’ve decided to let another one of my babies out of the vault. I never thought I would share this recipe with anyone after July 2017, but here we are!
I know you’re going to enjoy this recipe as much as I do so let me know when you try it. If there is something you don’t like or allergic to, it’s simple, don’t use it.Your toppings can be whatever you want because it’s your burger and business.
I would love to hear what you think below and share with someone who would love this.
Sauté 1 onion (diced)
1 sweet bell pepper diced
4 cloves of Garlic (minced)
1 chopped jalapeno.
1 cup of chopped mushrooms
1 can black beans
Add in 1 cup of cooked red or brown lentils
1 tbsp My Red House seasoning
Add 1 cup of TVP or thawed vegan meat crumbles( don’t want mock meats? Add more mushrooms and lentils)
Add about 2 tbsp of veggie stock
Add 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
about a tsp vegan worcestershire sauce
Add about 4 dashes of tobasco sauce
Add tbsp beef vegan bouillon
1 tbsp of Chili Powder
Remove from heat and add to a bowl
1/2 tsp of liquid smoke
Add in 1 cup of vital wheat gluten flour (or other flour with bread crumbs, this will change the set time) and mix for 2 mins. Add more veggie stick or flour if needed.
Add extra seasonings as needed
Form into patties and chill in freezer for 15-45 mins
Heat any oil if your choosing on a flat top or skillet and cook for 2 mins on each side. Top it with whatever you choose but definitely make sure you use some Steak Sauce..

This Black Bean Burger Recipe is fast, easy and absolutely delicious and 100% vegan and gluten free! I think you will love this Black Bean Burger recipe. Enjoy!
Here is what you will need for this Black Bean Burger Recipe:
one cup cooked brown rice
one cup black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup cooked potato
1/2 cup onion
2 T corn meal
1 T BBQ sauce
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. maple syrup
1 to 1/2 cup frozen corn
Throw all ingredients except the corn into a food processor and pulse a few times to get a burger type consistency. Then add corn and pulse a couple of more times. You want the corn to stay intact.
Form your burgers and place on a very hot grill or pan and cook 15 to 20 minutes per side. Start checking at 15 minutes.
When done remove from grill and place on bun of your choice and add whatever toppings you would like.
