How To make Bread Pudding made with French Bread

french bread, dense, stale

dried cherries, or raisins

milk, heated

teaspoon
cinnamon
Directions:
Slice bread 1/2 inch thick. butter 1 side of each slice.
butter 1 1/2 qt. shallow baking dish. Arrange one half the bread,
buttered side up, in single layer in dish. Sprinkle with cherries or
raisins. Top with another layer of bread slices. Whisk eggs, 1/2 cup sugar
and vanilla and almond extracts, and salt in bowl. Whisk in hot milk. Pour
custard over bread.
Press bread into custard. Let stand 30 minutes.
Press again. Preat oven to 350 degrees. Place baking dish in larger
baking pan. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon in bowl. Sprinkle over
pudding. Pour boiling water in large pan halfway up side of dish. Bake 45
to 50 minutes until golden. Serve warm with cream.

1 cup fresh milk (250ml)
1and ½ cup evap milk (375ml)
1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
500 grams loaf of milk bread
a pinch of salt
Toppings:Sliced almonds and raisins
SPANISH:

1 lata de leche condensada azucarada (397g)
1 taza de leche fresca (250 ml)
1 y ½ taza de leche evaporada (375ml)
1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla (5 ml)
500 gramos de barra de pan de leche
una pizca de sal
Ingredientes: Almendras en rodajas y pasas
PORTUGUESE:
3 ovos
1 lata de leite condensado adoçado (397g)
1 xícara de leite fresco (250ml)
1 e ½ xícara de leite evaporado (375ml)
1 colher de chá de extrato de baunilha (5ml)
500 gramas de pão de leite
uma pitada de sal
Coberturas: amêndoas cortadas e passas

I am using Challah bread in the recipe, but you can use any bread, fresh or stale..

Ingredients:
1lb of Challah bread- one day old, Challah has a thicker crust which I like in bread pudding..
2 Cups of whole milk
1/2 Cup of sugar
4 Large eggs
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of vanilla
2 tbsps of melted butter
Baking pan: 10 1/2*7 inches or 2-2.2L Pyrex dish is used
Bake in 350F (180C) for 50 minutes...
