3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
One 10-ounce jar maraschino cherries, drained (reserve the liquid ) and chopped

AMAZING Valentine's Day Chocolate Bavarian Torte!!

Chocolate Bavarian Torte Recipe:
CHOCOLATE BAVARIAN TORTE
1 package (18-1/4 oz.) Devils Food Cake mix without pudding (I use Duncan Hines)
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. salt
2 cups whipping cream, whipped
1 tsp. meringue powder (optional to stabilize cream)
2 T. grated semi-sweet chocolate
Large chocolate bar or chocolate wafers, melted
Mix and bake cake according to package directions, using two-9” round cake pans. Prepare pans with Pam Spray or grease and flour pans and/or line with round parchment paper. Cool 15 minutes, remove from pans and cool completely on wire rack. In a mixing bowl, beat the whipping cream until stiff. Remove and set aside in a small bowl. In the same mixing bowl add the brown sugar and cream cheese and vanilla and salt. Add in the whipped cream very gently until all of is incorporated in the mixture.
Split each cake in half with a serrated knife, making four layers. Spread the cream cheese mixture on each layer, leaving the most for the top. Do not frost sides. Sprinkle chocolate shavings or crushed Heath Bars on each layer, on top of the cream cheese mixture.
(If you want to add an extra touch of elegance, melt a milk or semi-sweet chocolate bar until smooth in the microwave at only 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth and melty. Spread a thin layer on some parchment paper and refrigerate until it is solid. (I also use those chocolate wafers for dipping strawberries and they work great). Break into shards and (see video) and stick into cake. Add raspberries in the center of the cake for a beautiful presentation.)
To make chocolate shavings, use a large chocolate bar, and on the side use a potato peeler and slide down the sides to make curled chocolate shavings. (See Video)
