How To make Chocolate Cherry Valentine Torte
2 Eggs; separated
1 1/2 c Sugar; divided
1 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1/2 c HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Vegetable oil
1 c Buttermilk or sour milk*
CREAM FILLING 1 c Cold whipping cream
2 tb Sugar
1 ts Vanilla extract
CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM:
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 c HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1 c Cold whipping cream
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 cn (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
:
chilled 1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour three heart-shaped baking pans
or three 9-inch round baking pans.** 2. In small bowl, beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add 1/2 cup
sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Set aside. 3. In large bowl, stir together flour, remaining 1 cup sugar, cocoa,
baking soda and salt. Add oil, buttermilk and egg yolks; beat until smooth. Gently fold egg whites into batter. 4. Pour about 1-2/3 cups batter into each prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20
minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Bake remaining layer, if
necessary. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely. 5. Prepare CREAM FILLING. Place 1 layer on serving plate; pipe or spoon
1-inch border 1/2 inch thick around outer edge of layer. Spread half of
pie filling in center. Top with second cake layer. Spread layer with half of remaining CREAM FILLING. Top with third layer. Spoon remaining pie filling on top of cake to within 1 inch of edge. 6. Prepare CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM; frost sides of cake. Pipe top edge
with remaining CREAM FILLING. Refrigerate until serving time. Cover; store leftover torte in refrigerator. 8 to 10 servings. * To sour milk: Use 1 tablespoon white vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup. ** If only two pans are available, reserve remaining batter in refrigerator for the third layer while first 2 layers bake. CREAM FILLING: In bowl, combine 1 cup (1/2 pt.) cold whipping cream with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat until stiff. CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM: In bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa. Add 1 cup (1/2 pt.) cold whipping cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat on low speed to blend. CHOCOLATE MOUSSE (16 cm diameter heart shaped ring, 6 cm height)
100 g dark chocolate 54%
40 g milk
3 g gelatin (220 Bloom)
30 g morello cherry puree/juice
150 g heavy cream
BLACK CHERRY MOUSSE
60g white chocolate
130 g black cherry puree
10 g butter
5 g gelatin (220 bloom)
40 g milk
100 heavy cream
MORELLO CHERRY JELLY
150 g morello cherry puree or juice
30 g sugar
20 g water

CHOCOLATE CHERRY CUPCAKE Recipe with Simple BUTTERCREAM CHERRY FROSTING ~ Valentine’s Day Recipe
A perfectly moist chocolate cherry cupcake with cherry buttercream is easily the perfect Valentine’s Day desert that the whole family can enjoy.
For the cupcakes- yields about 24 pieces
1 box DH Devils Food cake mix
4 eggs
1 pk chocolate fudge instant pudding mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
1/4 cup hot prepared coffee
1/2 cup maraschino cherry liquid
1/2 cup half and half
24 pcs maraschino cherries
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cherry extract
For the buttercream frosting
1 cup (2 Sticks) salted butter at room temp
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cherry extract
3-4 tsp maraschino cherry liquid
Red food coloring
Top with maraschino cherries
Notes: this recipe makes approximately 24 cupcakes. Mix cake batter as directed in the video and Bake @ 350 F for 25minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.
Prepare the frosting as instructed. Allow cupcakes to cook down completely before frosting. Top with a maraschino cherry and Serve. Enjoy!

Cherry Chip Valentine Stack Cake ~ Torani Friday
Here is a cake that will knock their socks off for Valentines day or any other day you simply want to show off your skills!
This cake mix fix cherry chip cake is reminiscent of the cherry chip cakes that my grandmother used to make for me a long time ago. She would use the cherry chip cake mix, which you can no longer get and then she would layer it with cherry chip frosting, also now a thing of the past, and drizzle chocolate sauce over the top and sides. This makes for an impressive and delicious cake that will really have them asking for it over and over again!
This cake starts with a French vanilla Duncan Hines cake mix and I have mixed it my way with instant vanilla pudding water, oil and extra eggs. I added Torani Grenadine syrup and chopped Maraschino cherries. This tastes just like the cherry chip cake of my youth only better.
I baked these in the new Wilton Easy Layers heart shaped cake pans you can find those here: I used three layers for my cake and reserved the other two for a special quick dessert video for another day.
I layered my cakes with buttercream I flavored with the Grenadine Torani and some delicious dark chocolate ganache that is so easy to make!

This cake is beautiful and sweet. You only need a small piece to satisfy! This cake should serve at least eight people. I think your sweetheart will love it!
