Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders Recipe
Hi Guys, today I’ll show you How to Make Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders. RECIPE: . Cast Iron Pan:
To a bowl, add buttermilk or if you don’t have buttermilk, here is my substitute. Whole milk and vinegar. Leave this alone for 15 minutes. Here are the cleaned chicken tenderloins. You can buy them just like this or cut chicken breast into strips. After 15 minutes, looks a little curdled like buttermilk. Add hot sauce and mix. Add the chicken and mix well. Leave this aside for 2 hours. Heat up a pan with vegetable oil. For the crust, to a bowl, add all purpose flour. Large eggs in another bowl and panko bread crumbs in another dish. To the flour, add salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika (you can use regular) and cayenne powder. Add salt to the eggs. Add salt to the bread crumbs. Mix everything up. First we dip the chicken in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumbs. Have a plate to the put the coated chicken on and a plate or pan lined with paper towels for the fried chicken. You can also drain the chicken on a rack over a sheet tray.
Let the excess buttermilk drip off the chicken. Put it in the flour and coat well. The eggs next, let the excess drip off and put the chicken on the bread crumbs. Use your other hand to press the bread crumbs on the chicken. Set the coated chicken on a plate. Test your oil temperature with a ball of the mixture stuck to your hands or a thermometer, it should be 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees celsius. Gently drop the chicken in the oil and cook for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. The pieces of chicken are not thick and cook very quickly. Drain and serve hot. If you like things a bit on the saltier side, sprinkle a little coarse salt on the tenders right after you take them out of the oil. These tenders are great served with ketchup, honey mustard or sriracha mayo. The outside is crunchy and the inside is soft and juicy. Super Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders
Super Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders and Spicy Honey BBQ Sauce. Recipe below (makes 10 tenders)
INGREDIENTS
10 chicken tenders
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup pickle juice
1/4 cup hot sauce
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup potato starch
2 tbsp of each smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder
1 tsp salt and pepper
FOR THE SAUCE
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp hot sauce
Step 1
Identify the tendon on the chicken and stick it between the teeth of a fork. Grab it with a paper towel and pull to remove.
Step 2
Combine the buttermilk with pickle juice and hot sauce and add the chicken. Marinate for at least an hour
Step 3
Combine the all purpose flour with potato starch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder and salt and pepper.
Step 4
When the chicken has marinated, Take it out of the buttermilk and let some of it drip into the flour mixture to create crispiness. Add the chicken and press the flour into the chicken making sure its fully coated. Fry at 350 degrees F for 7 minutes.
FOR THE SAUCE
Combine all ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Turn off heat, and fcoat the chicken streips.
