CAKE 1 Box yellow cake mix 1 sm Box vanilla instant pudding 2/3 c Oil 4 Eggs 1 1/2 c Fruit only...no juice 1 c Nuts- pecans are best DO NOT REFRIGERATE...USE ONLY WOODEN UTENSILS...STORE IN COVERED CONTAINER FIRST DAY: In large bowl combine 1 1/2 cups starter juice, 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 large can sliced peaches, drained and diced. STIR DAILY FOR 10 DAYS TENTH DAY: add 2 1/2 cups sugar, 1 large can chunk pinapple with juice STIR DAILY FOR 10 DAYS The contributor added: Mix all ingredients and bake in a greased bundt pan 300 * for 1 hour. I serve it plain as after it cools I usually pour about 1-1 1/2 oz of rum over it to add flavor.....very good!

friendshipbreadkitchen.com takes a while but it sure is good. starter = 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour (all purpose) 1 cup milk. stir every day with plastic or wooden spoon. cover and keep on the counter. on day on day 5 add 1 c. flour, 1 c. milk and 1 cup sugar. then stir every day till day 10. on day 10 add 3 cups veg. oil, 9 eggs 6 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups milk. 1 Tablespoon vanilla, 3 cups sugar, 4 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda, 2 cups walnuts or pecans. Friendship Fruit Cake! This is the start of a fermented fruit cake that my mom makes every year for the holidays. She uses the starter from what she drained from the fruit of the previous year. I've added a link to the basic recipe and it has how you can make your own starter to use over and over again. I hate fruit cake but this is the best ever!!! It is called, Friendship Cake! It takes 30 plus days for the fruit to be ready and then if you are not ready to use it, you can store it in the fridge or freezer until needed. Let's ferment some fruit!!!
Amish Friendship Cake Starter
Amish Cake/Bread Starter 1 Cup flour 1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Milk Mix all together Day 1 is the day you mix these ingredients together. Stir days 2-4. Day 5 add each ingredient again. Stir days 6-10. On day 10 divide starter into freezer bags putting one cup in each bag. Save about 1/3 cup of starter to add to your next starter.
