How To make Indian Lentil Sandwich Spread (Vegan)
Ingredients

cup
lentils, cooked
4
each
garlic cloves, pressed
2
teaspoon
coriander, ground
1
teaspoon
cumin, ground
1/2
teaspoon
turmeric, ground
1/2
teaspoon
chili powder
1/2
teaspoon
ginger, ground
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a small sacuepan. Cook gently over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, to allow the flavors to blend. Chill for 1 hour.

Can you still call this hummus if it doesn’t have chickpeas? Hummus literally means chickpeas…so no. But I use it like I would hummus.
I replaced the chickpeas with higher-protein red lentils, which makes things a bit easier!
I’m on vacation so posting less this week. But will make it up to you soon!
✅Serves 4
✅Ingredients:
1 cup dried red lentils
¼ cup tahini
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1 small lemon)
2 tablespoons olive oil or water
1 large garlic clove
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
Ingredients:
✅Rinse the lentils under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, cover the lentils with water to a depth of about 2 inches.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook covered for about 15 minutes, or until the lentils are just tender. Drain any excess water using a sieve.
✅Place the lentils, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, ginger powder, cumin, turmeric, onion powder, and cayenne into a food processor.
Pulse until smooth, adding water as needed until the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.

½ medium-size carrot
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
½ tsp turmeric
salt and black pepper to taste
dairy-free mozzarella cheese
vegan cheddar cheese
3 tbsp gram flour (chickpea flour)
130ml (5fl oz) plant-based milk
vegetable oil for frying
You can make 2-3 portions with the above ingredients.

3 Ingredient Sandwich Spread - Great For Vegan Protein!
Who doesn’t love a creamy sandwich spread? This one is healthy AND delicious … and is super simple to make!
You can add extra herbs and spices. You can also use tinned peas in this recipe. It might take a few minutes less to make and the taste will be a little sweeter.
3 Ingredient Sandwich Spread
(aka Creamy Garlic Pea Spread) from my 3 Ingredient Cookbook:
????
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/4 tsp garlic granules)
2 tablespoons tahini
In a blender or food processor, add the thawed peas, minced garlic, and tahini. Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender or processor to ensure everything is well combined.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if desired. You can add salt, pepper, or any other herbs and spices of your choice.
Serve the spread as a dip with your favorite sliced vegetables, whole grain crackers, or use it as a spread on sandwiches and wraps.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
