How To make Mississippi Mud Cake2
Cake 2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Icing 1 pound confectioner's sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Grease a rectangular cake pan, place a greased piece of waxed paper in the bottom and set aside. Sift together flour, cocoa and salt and set aside in a small bowl. Cream sugar and butter. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until a batter is formed. Turn into cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes on the middle rack of your oven. Cool on a wire rack and ice.
Icing Sift sugar and cocoa. Mix in butter, milk and vanilla.

mud slide ice cream cake dessert
The popular mud slide drink with coffee and chocolate is an easy to create freezer dessert. Very tasty and very easy. Great for fathers day or mothers day or special celebration or just any day.
Ingredients:
1. 1 box betty crocker supermoist chocolate fudge cake mix
2. 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
3. 1 egg
4. 2 tablespoons milk
5. 2 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur or strong coffee
6. 4 cups vanilla ice cream
7. 1 container betty crocker whipped chocolate frosting
8. 2 tablespoons coffee-flavored liqueur, if desired
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F). Grease and line with non-stick baking paper bottom only of 23cm x 32cm (9inch x 13inch) baking pan. In large bowl, beat cake mix, butter, egg and milk with spoon or electric mixer on low speed until well blended. Spread batter in pan.
2. Bake 16-18 minutes or until center is set (top may appear dry and cracked). Cool completely, about 1 hour.
3. Brush 2 tablespoons liqueur over cake. Let ice cream stand about 15 minutes at room temperature to soften. Spread ice cream over cake. Freeze about 3 hours or until firm.
4. In medium bowl, mix frosting and 2 tablespoons liqueur; spread over ice cream. Freeze at least 1 hour. Store covered in freezer. Makes 15 servings.
Notes:
- if you like substitute coffee-flavored ice cream for the vanilla ice cream

In Today’s video, I am going to be showing you how to make Mississippi Mud Cake
My Aunt Juanita had this recipe, and it is the same cake that my Granny made for me growing up. It was so great to be able to make this with Heather while I was home for a visit. It brought back so many memories of my Granny.

CAKE:
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts (we always used pecans)
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup coconut (OPTIONAL)
Blend cocoa, butter, vanilla, and coconut in a bowl. Add flour, sugar, and eggs. Mix well.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
ICING
1 jar marshmallow cream
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter
1 cup chopped nuts (we always used pecans)
1/4 cup cocoa
4 to 6 tablespoons evaporated milk
Spread marshmallow cream on cake while still hot.
Add icing.
Let stand at least 2 hours.
Chocolate mud pile - chocolate lovers heaven
I had this chocolate pile from Farzi cafe, CP. The dish consisted of exotic dry fruits, crumbled chocolate cake and small chunks of brownies and topped with a chocolate gnash.
Purelya heaven for chocolate lovers.
