$250 Cookies
Monday, December 2 and let the baking begin… Today will be the $250 cookies. I am sure y’all have heard about the lady who went to Neiman Marcus and was charged $250 for the recipe to a cookie she really loved. If you haven’t here it is in the cliff notes version. A lady visited a Texas branch of Neiman Marcus. After her lunch, she had a cookie for dessert. She loved the cookie so much that she asked for the recipe. When December’s bill from her credit card came there was a charge for $250. She called Neiman Marcus and inquired about the “mistake”. They confirmed not only was it not a mistake, but they charge $250 for that recipe all the time. She decided then and there this wouldn’t happen to anyone else. So she did exactly what I would have done in her place, copied it, and spread it as far as she could. Flash forward thirty or so years and here I am about to show you how to make the cookies, but give you a link to a recipe which is very similar. Please, go over and let Michelle know I sent you. I would appreciate it because that is how these channels grow.

Chocolate Chip Cookies: Neiman-Marcus $250 Recipe - Steph’s Stove
Neiman-Marcus $250 Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are hearty cookies that are filled with chocolate chips, chocolate bars, and pecans baked to perfection. Once you try this chocolate chip cookie recipe, it will become your favorite. We fondly call these, Courtney’s Camp Cookies, because a batch followed my daughter to camp every year. They provided a little taste of home and were loved by my daughter and all of her friends. I hope you try these and enjoy them as much as we have over the years.
Preheat oven to 375°
Using a stand mixer, cream together:
2 sticks of butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sift dry ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
Blend using a food processor or blender - 2 ½ cups oatmeal into a powder consistency.
Add blended oatmeal to dry ingredients
Add dry ingredients one spoonful at a time to wet ingredients (in mixer) and blend together on medium speed until well incorporated.
Add -
1-10 oz package of chocolate chips
3 Hershey chocolate bars (broken into pieces)
2 cups chopped pecans
Blend again until all ingredients are well combined.
Line a cookie sheet with a silicone baking mat and place medium sized spoonfuls of cookie dough on the cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes on a cooling rack. After 5 minutes, transfer cookies from cookie sheet to cooling rack to prevent cookies from continuing to cook and allow to completely cool for 10 minutes.
Recipe will yield 6-7 dozen cookies, depending on the size. Enjoy with a cold glass of milk!

Neiman Marcus Cookies - Oatmeal, Chocolate and Nuts - Add these to your cookie tray! #cookies
Hi and Welcome. In this video I'm showing you how to make Neiman Marcus Cookies. Did you receive an email telling a story of a woman who went to Neiman Marcus for lunch, requested the recipe for these cookies and got way over charged!!?? Well, the story is probably untrue, but the cookies are great. And talk about a great cookie recipe for a cookie swap or bake sale! This recipe makes over 100 cookies! If you make them small enough you can get nearly 200! If you don't need that many, cut the recipe in half.
Here are the ingredients:
2 cups (4 sticks) butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
5 cups blended oatmeal( blend oatmeal in food processor or blender)
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 8 ounce chocolate bar (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate), chopped
24 ounces (4 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 cups chopped nuts (in the video, I'm using 1 cup each walnuts, almonds and pecans)
375 degrees F for 9-11 minutes depending on size of cookies.
