How To make Rich Chocolate Cake Taste Of Home Version
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup hot water
2 teaspoons baking soda
Combine oil, cocoa and sugar in mixing bowl and beat on low speed until well-mixed. Add eggs; beat on medium speed until well blended. Add salt, buttermilk, flour and vanilla. Add to mixture on low speed until combined; then beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Add soda to hot water; dissolve well. Add gradually to cake batter and mix just until combined. (Batter will be very thin before baking.) Bake in greased and floured 13x9 inch baking pan or 2 layer pans at 375 for 40 minutes. Test with a toothpick in center of cake for doneness. Frost with Chocolate Fudge Frosting, if desired.

1 Duncan Hines French Vanilla box cake mix
1 pk 3.4oz French vanilla instant pudding mix
4 large eggs @ room temperature
2/3 cup melted butter @room temperature or simply use same quality as box instructions (1/3 cup)
1 cup buttermilk (room temp)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp pure lemon extract
Mix and Bake per box instructions.

How To Make A Box Cake Taste Homemade
Hey everyone! You know I love a good scratch cake but sometimes you need a great tasting cake FAST! These are my tips and tricks for making a simple box mix taste homemade!
Ingredients for WASC (white almond sour cream cake)
1 box white cake mix I like duncan hines brand
1 cup AP flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup sour cream room temp
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup milk (or water) room temperature
4 egg whites fresh not boxed at room temperature
1 tsp almond extract
Instructions
The instructions for this cake are super easy. Basically, put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix it for 2 minutes! Voila! Cake batter is ready. Pour batter into two prepared 8 pans and bake at 335 degrees F for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
