How To make Skillet Beef Hash
1 lb Ground beef
1/2 c Water
1 Bouillon cube
1 Onion; chopped
2 c Frozen mixed vegetables
3 c Frozen hash brown potatoes
Celery salt Salt Pepper 1 c Cheddar cheese; grated
Preparation time = 25 minutes Substitutions: bouillon package in lieu bouillon cube; or equivalent Green beans may be used in lieu of mixed vegetables. Favorite herbs and spices (incl Mrs Dash) can be substituted for listed spices. Quantities of mixed vegetables and hash browns can both be reduced by 1 cup if desired. 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain off
fat. 2. Add water and the beef bouillon cube. Stir to combine
3. Add the onion, vegetables and has brown potatoes. Sprinkle with
seasoning; cover tightly and heat on low for 15 minutes until vegetables are steamed. Stir. Sprinkle with cheese. 4. Cover and cook a few minutes until cheese melts.

Corned beef hash was a favourite at school dinner times, and I always looked forward to it coming on the menu. It was never an attractive looking dish, and was a homogeneous pile of corned beef, mashed potato and baked beans, and it was delicious!
Making corned beef hash is a simple thing, and it's cheap as chips too! There are lots of different ways to make it, but my recipe uses chunks of potatoes rather than mash, and I don't add baked beans either. I like my hash to have a bit of texture. I also think it needs a little spike of heat and acidity to cut through the fattiness. I used some worcester sauce and English mustard for that.
To make my corned beef hash you will need:
► 600g of maris piper potatoes
► 340g of corned beef
► 2 small onions
► 2 garlic cloves
► 1+1/2 tbsp of worcester sauce
► 2 tsp of English mustard
► About 450ml of beef stock
► Pepper
► Small knob of butter
► Oil for cooking
► Serve with fried eggs

Corned Beef Hash Ingredients:
2 Russet Potatoes, large dice
2.5 cups Leftover Corned Beef, large dice
1.5 cups Yellow Onion, large dice
2 Garlic Cloves
1 tbsp Fresh Thyme
1/ 4 cup Fresh Parsley
Salt & Pepper TT
Optional chili oil
Optional poached eggs
