Quick Spanish Rice with Ground Beef
In this video, I make some delicious Spanish rice with ground beef. It is the perfect recipe for when you need to feed a crowd cheaply.
Full recipe:
More Recipes:
The rice is loaded with flavor, thanks to the delicious range of ingredients. The tomato soup will add a delightful richness to the dish. The meat and vegetables all add even more flavor.
I can usually feed six people without having to adjust the recipe. However, I do typically make some side dishes to go with Spanish rice. You can easily adjust the recipe if you need to feed more people.
A list of all the ingredients is right below.
30g (1 oz) unsalted butter
1 onion, diced
1 cup long grain rice
1 tsp garlic, minced
500g (1.1 lb) ground beef
1 tsp dry mustard powder
1 Tbsp tomato paste
½ tsp oregano
½ tsp basil
420g (14.8 oz) canned tomato soup
500ml (17 fl oz) beef stock
Below are a couple of ideas on how you can adjust this recipe so that it is more to your liking.
More vegetables are a great way of adding even more flavor to the rice. Something like green peas or bell pepper will add lots more color and flavor.
Depending on my mood, I also like to sometimes add some chili powder to the dish. Roughly one teaspoon will add a little bit of bite and flavor to the recipe. I highly recommend giving it a try.
I love this quick Spanish rice with ground beef recipe, and I hope that you do too. If you have any feedback, then please do not hesitate to leave a comment below.
MEXICAN RICE // Step by Step // added tips❤️
Mexican rice is something we had at least twice a week growing up, I have continued the tradition to this day, and I guess it’s because this Mexican rice is delicious and because it also goes well with just about anything. People prepare this side dish many different ways, some use tomato sauce, some use tomato paste and some only use tomato flavored chicken broth but I like to use fresh tomatoes, garlic and spices along with chicken broth instead of water , and that’s where the perfect authentic flavor comes in. Mexican rice is very easy to prepare and it’s delicious when when done right. In this video I will show you how to make it step by step. I hope you give it a try. ❤️

Old Spanish Rice Recipe with Michael's Home Cooking
Old 1970's recipe for Spanish Rice that I made when I was a kid. I used to have this with a slice of bread and canned corn for a complete meal. See description for full recipe.
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon butter
1 cup long grain rice
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups water
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
8 ounce can tomato sauce
Brown onions, green bell pepper and ground beef together.
Add your rice, salt, butter and other seasonings, stirring to coat rice with butter.
Add your 2 cups water, Worcestershire Sauce, and tomato sauce.
Cover and gently simmer for 25 to 35 minutes.
I cooked mine for 30 minutes and it was slightly overcooked.
