How To make Welsh Cakes (Bakestone Recipes)
8 oz Plain flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Mized spice
2 oz Butter or margarine
2 oz Lard
3 oz Granulated sugar
2 oz Raisins (or currants)
1 Egg, beaten
3 tb Milk
Sift the flour, baking powder and spice into a mizing bowl. Cut the fat into the flour, and rub it to a breadcrumb-like consistency; then mix in the sugar and raisins. Mix in the egg, and sufficient milk to make a stiff dough. Roll out on a floured board to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 3 inch rounds. Bake on a hot greased bakestone until golden brown, about 4 minutes on each side. * Variation: "Teisen Dinca" -- Make up the Welsh Cake dough adding 6 oz peeled and grated cooking apples before adding the egg. Mix to a stiff dough, adding milk if necessary. Roll out, cut into rounds and cook on the bakestone as for Welsh Cakes. Serve hot with butter, golden syrup, or honey.

웰시 케익. Welsh Cakes recipe.
Welsh cakes also known as Griddle cakes or Bakestone cakes are a simple to make cake, eaten at tea time and are originally from Wales. (웰시 케익은 핫케이크 또는 구운 돌 이라고 불림) In today’s video I will show you how easy Welsh cakes are to make and what ingredients to use when making traditional welsh cakes. If you have never eaten them before they are similar to a scone and a biscuit and they just melt in your mouth. (입속에서 녹아 퍼지는) They are both delicious and flaky and the best part you don’t need an oven they can be cooked on your stove top. (오븐이 필요없이 가스버너로 조리 가능) They taste best when warm and served plain or you could put some butter on them. Unlike the scone they are not usually served with cream or jam. At Christmas I might change the ingredients and use cranberries with White chocolate chips, these also taste good with dark chocolate chips inside!
Ingredients
225g Flour ( sieve your flour)
100g Butter ( lard is used in traditional recipes)
30g sugar
A pinch of Salt
½ tsp of Baking powder
½ tsp of allspice ( Mace is traditionally used but you could also use cinnamon or nutmeg)
1egg & 2tbs Milk
60-70g Currants (raisins/sultanas)
