How To make Apricot Cardamon Bars &Amp; Apricot Icing
COOKIE BAR:
1 c All-purpose flour
1/2 c Packed brown sugar
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/4 ts Ground cardamom
Or 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 c Apricot nectar or orange
Juice 1/4 c Unsweetened applesauce
2 tb Cooking oil
1 Slightly beaten egg
1/2 c Finely snipped dried apricos
1 Recipe Apricot Icing
APRICOT ICING:
1/2 c Powdered sugar
2 To three teaspoons apricot
Nectar or orange juice In a medium mixing bowl stir together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cardamom or cloves; set aside. Stir together apricot nectar or orange juice, applesauce, oil, and egg till combined. Sit in the snipped apricots. Spread batter in an ungreased 11x7x1-1/2-inch baking pan. Bake in a 350-degree oven about 25 minutes or till a wooden pick inserted near the
center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Drizzle with Apricot Icing. Cut into bars. Makes 24 bars. APRICOT ICING: In a small mixing bowl stir together 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2 to 3 teaspoons apricot nectar or orange juice. HOW TO BAKE Soft & Moist Apricot Jam Cake
This is one of my favourite creations, which is why I've made it my first video.
Any questions? Ask away.
RECIPE:
CAKE:
100g / 4oz Caster Sugar
100g / 4oz Butter or alternative
100g / 4oz Self Raising Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Egg
70g / 2.5oz Apricot Jam
Mix the sugar and butter until a consistent texture.
Add the egg and mix again.
Fold in the flour and baking powder, then mix.
Thoroughly mix in the jam.
Pre-heat oven to 180° / 350°
Should take around 18 minutes
Perform poke tests and when stick comes out clean, cake is done.

For extra moist version of cake, use the following:
200g / 7oz Apricot Jam
Do not allow cake to fully rise.
Poke test until no more liquid is on the stick.

ICING:
35g / 1oz Icing Sugar
10g / 1/4oz Apricot Jam
2 Teaspoons Cold Water
Stir together and then apply to top of cakes.

2 cups SR Flour
1 cup Castor Sugar
1 cup Almonds
3/4 cup Dried Apricots
3 large eggs (or 4 small ones)
1 tsp Vanilla
3/4 cup oil
Icing: 250g Cream Cheese
25g Butter
2/3 cup Icing Sugar
2 tbs orange juice

How to Make a Cake - Apricot Stack Cake Recipe
Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to bake an easy cake recipe -- apricot stack cake! To start this apricot recipe, drain canned apricot halves into a saucepan. Boil the juice, then remove it from the heat. Add dried apricots. Let them stand for 15 minutes, then drain the syrup. Process the softened apricots and half apricots until smooth. To bake a cake, add your basic ingredients. Pour the batter onto a griddle, and let it cook. Repeat this process with the remaining batter. When cooked, place one cake in the bottom of a pan. Spoon over a third of a cup of apricot filling. Repeat this process. Cover the cake and chill it overnight. Keep these easy apricot recipe in mind when baking a cake!
