Ingredients:
4 Cups of Pinto Beans
16 Cups of Water
2 Garlic Cloves or 2 Teaspoons of Minced Garlic
1/2 of a Medium Onion
2 TBSP of Oil (Optional) Adding oil will make your beans softer, but you can skip this step if you wish.
2 TBSP of Salt
4-6 Hours on High
Note: This recipe is for a 6 Quart Crock-Pot or larger. If you have a 4 Quarter Crock-Pot, just half the recipe! Yes, a 4 Quart Crock-Pot is meant for 16 cups, but with all of your ingredients, not all 16 cups of water that the recipe calls for will fit.
Directions:
1. Sort your pinto beans, removing all the rocks and other debris. Rinse the beans thoroughly.
2. Place all of your ingredients in the crockpot. Stir Well.
3. Cover and cook on High for 4-6 Hours or until your pinto beans are fully cooked. Enjoy!
