How To make Beef and Shrimp Kabobs
8 oz Italian salad dressing
1/4 c Catsup
1/4 c Red wine
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
Salt; to taste Pepper; to taste 4 lb Sirloin; or round steak
48 lg Shrimp, raw; shelled
6 sl Bacon; cut in squares
1 Green pepper; sliced
1 lg Onion; sliced
1 cn Button mushroons; (4oz)
To make marinade, combine salad dressing, catsup, wine, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cut steak into 1-1/2 inch cubes. Put steak cubes and raw shrimp in marinade and let stand in refrigerator 3 hours. Remove beef and shrimp from marinade; alternate 8 beef cubes and 8 shrimp on 6 skewers, using squares of bacon, slices of pepper and onion, and mushrooms between meats. Place skewers 4 to 6 inches abover medium heat on grill. Cook 8 to 10 minutes on each side, brushing with marinade occasionally. SOURCE: Southern Living Magazine,sometime in 1974. STEAK MARINATE:-
2 LBS Skirt Steak (cleaned)
2 TBL SPN Oil
1 TBL SPN Lemon Juice
1/2 TBL SPN Salt
1/2 TBL SPN Black Pepper
1/2 TBL SPN Garlic Powder
1 TSP Cjun Rub
1 TSP Dried Parsley
SHRIMP MARINATE:-
1 LBS 16 TO 20 Count Shrimp
1 TBL SPN Oil
1 TBL SPN Lemon Juice
1/2 TSP Salt
1/2 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Cajun Rub
1 TSP Dried Parsley
SEASONED OIL:-
1/2 Cup OIL
2 TSP Dried Parsley
1 TSP Cajun Rub
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Red Chili Flakes
CAJUN RUB:-
2 TSP Salt
2 TSP Garlic Powder
2 1/2 TSP Paprika
1 TSP Black Pepper
1 TSP Onion Powder
1 TSP Dried Oregano
1 1/4 TSP Dried Thyme
1/2 TSP Red Chili Flakes

I've been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and have eaten numerous versions of shish kabobs (also spelled shish kebab). And if you go beyond the Middle East, different cultures have their own twist on it with a variety of marinades, veggies, and meats such as lamb, pork, or chicken. But today I'm highlighting a classic beef shish kabob recipe threaded with chunky steak bites and colorful sliced vegetables.

Shrimp & Pineapple Kabobs | Easy Grilling Recipe | MOLCS Easy Recipes
Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple Kabobs
2 lbs Jumbo Shrimp
1 Large Red Onion - cut in chunks
1 Green Pepper - cut in chunks
1 Red Pepper - cut in chunks
1 Pineapple - cut in large chunks
Sweet Chili Sauce
1/2 C Rice Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 C Water
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
3 Cloves Garlic - minced
2 tsp Ginger - minced
2/3 C Honey
To prepare sauce, whisk together all ingredients in a saucepan and heat 2-3 minutes to thicken
then remove from heat.
Preheat grill to med-high heat
Prepare shrimp, red onions, peppers & pineapple onto skewers
Brush with oil and grill just until shrimp becomes opaque and vegi's start to char, 2 - 3 minutes
per side. Brush with sauce while grilling.
Transfer to serving platter and drizzle with remaining sauce.
Marinate chicken at least an hour or overnight if possible.
Assemble skewers and discard remaining marinade.
I usually make a little extra marinade so I have some left over for basting.
Grill skewers turning frequently brushing with marinade until golden brown on each side.
