How To make Belgian Apple Fritters

x

2 C. flour
1 Pt. beer
4 Large apples
Peel, core and slice apples into rings. Blend flour and beer to a paste. Dip each apple slice in the batter and fry in deep fat (at approximately 390 degrees) until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Keep fritters hot in oven. Serve with light custard, or sprinkle with powdered sugar. These fritters are light and crisp and the beer leaves no taste. Serves 4.
