Learn how to make Brazilian black beans with a pressure cooker! Brazilian black beans are a staple Brazilian dish — and one of the tastiest, richest meals ever! This is the perfect recipe for beginners: it's less elaborate than a feijoada (black bean stew) and made for the everyday. Add some Brazilian white rice, and you've got the ultimate Brazilian comfort food! This recipe requires an electric pressure cooker. I use a crock pot express.

INGREDIENTS
For soaking overnight:
2 cups of black beans
6 cups of water
Ingredients for cooking:
6 cups of fresh water
1 sausage (linguiça or kielbasa)
2 bay leaves
Ingredients for seasoning*:
1 garlic bulb (minced or grated)
2 tbsp of cooking oil (vegetable or canola oil)
Salt to taste
*These amounts are assuming you'll be saving up to half your cooked beans for later! Double these amounts if you're seasoning the whole batch.

Hi all, this recipe is easy, delicious and a Brazilian staple. Feijoada or Brazilian Black Bean and Meat Stew can warm anyone's heart ❤. I usually serve Feijoada with some rice, sautéed collard greens, Farofa and orange slices. Feijoada is a slow cooked black bean stew brewed with beef, pork pieces and spices, the name feijoada comes from feijão which means bean in portuguese, this comfort food is often called The Brazilian National Dish.

Feijoada is a slow cooked black bean stew brewed with beef, pork pieces and spices, the name feijoada comes from feijão which means bean in portuguese, this comfort food is often called The Brazilian National Dish.

01:00 Browning the Meats
Add 2 tbsp of oil to a warm pan and brown all meats for about 20 minutes, mixing periodically.
01:50 Feijoada Ingredients
Cut the onion into big chunks and add to browned meat the onions, garlic, bullion, black pepper, bay leaves. Sautéing for about 5 minutes.

Cook on a slow cooker or stove top pan for about 6 hours.

At about a half hour before the feijoada is done, remove a cup of the beans. Mash and return into pan, mix well, and cook for the last half hour.

Add to a microwave safe dish: 1 cup of rice (washed), oil, salt, garlic, 2 cups of water and microwave for 10 minutes. Remove from microwave, fluff and return to microwave cooking for an additional 5 minutes and it's ready to serve.

Feijoada, this delicious Brazilian delicacy is easy to make and pleases many tastes.
Ingredients:
300 grams of salted pork (dehydrated)
300 grams of salted beef (dehydrated)
200 grams of sausage
500 grams of black beans
100 grams of bacon
2 generous tablespoons of garlic.
This typical Brazilian dish was a cultural heritage of the European colonizers, adapted to the ingredients available at the time.
