Haystacks Recipe with Peanut Butter
This classic haystacks recipe is made with creamy peanut butter, butterscotch, and chow mein noodles. It is an easy no-bake dessert that can be made in under 30 minutes.

1 -- 11 or 12oz pkg of Butterscotch chips
1 c. chopped nuts (I used pecans, use what you like)
3 ½ c. chow mein noodles
Melt chips in a double boiler then, add nuts and noodles. Using a teaspoon drop on wax paper to set.
You may call these treats by a different name (butterscotch haystacks)
Makes 6 dozen

It is one of those recipes that is ripe for variations with peanut butter or caramel, butterscotch chips and sprinkles. Plus watching slo mo melting Easter bunnies is fun. So to answer the question - Can you melt and cook with Easter Bunny Chocolate? Yes you can bake with Easter Bunny Chocolate.
Ingredients:
170g (6 oz) chocolate
85g (3 oz) fried chow mein noodles
150g (5oz) salted roasted peanuts
Method:
Melt chocolate in a double boiler, or in the microwave.
Stir in the chow mein noodles, and nuts.
Scoop into bite sized portions onto a parchment lined baking tray.’
Allow to cool and harden.
**Any nut can be used, and you can melt caramels, or peanut butter chips into the chocolate.
Just keep the same basic proportions of chocolate to add ins.

These crunchy chocolate treats are a childhood favourite. This recipe is kid friendly and perfect for Easter time. They are no-bake, easy to make and contain just 4 ingredients. Makes 8
180g milk chocolate
2 teaspoons crunchy peanut butter
100g fried noodles (chow mein noodles in the U.S.A)
80g speckled Easter eggs
Melt chocolate and peanut butter together in a medium bowl in the microwave using short bursts or in a saucepan over a very low heat.
Add noodles to the chocolate mixture and stir until all noodles are evenly coated.
Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking tray. Shape with spoon to form a nest.
Place speckled eggs into the centre of the nests.
Refrigerate for an hour or until set.
