How To make Fresh Cherry Bread
1 Stick Butter
Softened
3/4 C Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs :
Beaten
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
1 3/4 C King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Tbsp Coriander Or Cardamom
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
1 C Fresh Pitted Cherries :
*Note
This recipe uses coriander, the seed of the cilantro plant. It has a mysterious and exotic taste.
*NOTE: or 1/2 lb unpitted cherries. Diced plums also work well.
Preheat oven to 350 deg F. Grease a 9 x 5" loaf pan.
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs and extract.
Soft dry ingredients together and add to wet ingredients. Stir in the cherries and mix until combined.
Spoon batter into loaf pan. Bake for 45 - 55 min. Insert a skewer or cake tester; it will come out dry when the bread is done. Cool for 10 min in the pan and turn out on a rack to fully cool. This is best eaten the next day.

Pirozhki are a great Russian-Ukrainian snack. I like them for breakfast and they bring back wonderful memories of my grandmother and childhood nostalgia.
Pirozhki are a Russian-Ukrainian dish of dough with a filling that is baked or fried. There are many recipes for making dough for pirozhki and a variety of toppings as well. They are so yummy! You can use regular sweet cherries if you can’t get a hold of sour cherries, they will work just fine. Although sour cherries do bring extra kick in flavor and juiciness. Soft dough with a delicious sweet and sour cherry filling, topped with crunchy crumble. You can always freeze part of the pirozhki, and then just rewarm in a microwave or oven.

This delicious and easiest cherry clafoutis is perfect for summer dinner party dessert! It's simplest French dessert I ever made.
6-inch (15cm) Cherry Clafoutis (French Cherry Pie)
Ingredients
200g fresh cherries
2 eggs
2Tbsp (30 g) sugar
3/4cup (180ml) whole milk
1/3cup (45g) all-purpose flour
a little bit of butter
a pinch of powdered sugar
Optional:
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
(350F/180C) Bake 40-45minutes
Notes:
* I like to serve this cherry clafoutis warm as a dessert for the best taste.
* Since fresh cherries are naturally sweet, I reduced amount of sugar in this recipe. If you like a sweeter flavor, you may add more sugar along with other ingredients.
