How To make Funnel Cakes 2
2 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 Eggs
1 1/2 cup Milk.
Mix the ingredients together: Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or skillet until very hot. Put batter into a funnel (be sure to cover the spout with one finger), then, holding the funnel over the hot oil ( use extreme caution when cooking with hot oil), release some of the batter in circular motions to form one funnel cake. The funnel cake will rise quickly and expand, so be careful about how much batter you use for the first one until you get the "feel" for cooking it. Cook to a light golden brown on both sides, then remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain.. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve while still warm!

Ingredients for making homemade Funnel Cakes:
3 large eggs
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup of granulated sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt
3 cups of all-purpose flour
Canola oil
Icing sugar
Instructions for making homemade Funnel Cakes:
- First, crack your eggs into a large bowl and whisk.
- Then while continuing to whisk, add your milk, granulated sugar, baking powder and Himalayan pink salt.
- Now gradually pour your all-purpose flour into the bowl, making your funnel cake batter.
- Now in a pan, pour in your canola oil and heat the oil to 350°F.
- You can now pour in your funnel cake batter through a funnel, and fry the dough on both sides and repeat to make as many cakes as you need.
- You can now plate your funnel cakes and top them with icing sugar.

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour 250g
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk 236ml¹(see note!)
2 large eggs lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
Vegetable oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting funnel cakes
Instructions
00:00 Introduction
00:30 In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well-combined.
00:52 In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract (if using) until well-combined.
01:24 While whisking, gradually add dry ingredients to wet, stirring until mixture is smooth and combined (see note about milk!). Set aside.
01:49 Fill a medium-sized saucepan 2-3” deep with vegetable oil. Set on stovetop over medium-low heat and place a candy thermometer in the oil (make sure the tip of the thermometer is in the middle of the oil and not touching the bottom or it will read hotter than the actual temperature of the oil). Heat oil to 370-375F (187-190C).
02:45 Once oil is heated, portion about 1/3 - ½ cup of batter into a measuring cup with a spout. Slowly drizzle batter into oil, swirling and criss-crossing the batter over itself. Fry on each side until golden brown (about 90 seconds per side) then remove to a paper-towel lined plate.
04:12 Repeat with remaining batter but make sure that oil returns to temperature in between batches.
04:19 Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
NOTES:
¹You can see me on camera making this recipe with the exact ingredient quantities listed. I tested this recipe over a dozen times with the ingredients as written. However, sometimes the batter comes out too thick for people. If your batter is thicker than shown in the video, add additional milk as needed until it reaches a pourable consistency like shown in the video.
