How To make Garlic Shrimp with Noodles
Ingredients
4
tablespoon
butter, divided
1/4
cup
onion, finely chopped
2
cup
water
1
each
lipton noodles & sauce butter & herb, package
2
tablespoon
olive oil
1
tablespoon
garlic, minced
1
pound
shrimp, medium, raw, peeled, deveined
14
oz
artichoke hearts, can, drained, halved
1/4
cup
parsley, fresh, minced
1
black pepper, to taste
Directions:
In medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and cook onion until tender. Add water and bring to a boil. Stir in noodles & sauce, butter & herb and continue boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or until noodles are tender.
Meanwhile in 12 inch skillet, heat remaining 2 tablespoons butter with olive oil and cook garlic over medium high heat 30 seconds. Add shrimp and artichokes and cook, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Stir in parsley and pepper.
To serve, combine shrimp mixture with hot noodles. Garnish, if desired, with watercress.

Recently, I went to San Fransisco and tried Garlic Noodles form the Original Restaurant (Thanh Long) and was shocked at how different they were than what I was used to. I immediately came home and tweaked my recipe to make it more authentic. While my spin was delicious, it was a bit too sweet, and way more saucy. If you want to compare them, give this one a try. 3-4 sprigs green onions
2 tbsps butter
AP seasoning
1 lb thin spaghetti (salt the pasta water)
reserve 1/2 cup pasta water
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp chicken bouilloin powder
1/2 tsp sesame oil

Garlic Noodle Shrimp ????
8 oz Shrimp
8 oz Noodles of choice (I used nam yung)
Tempura:
3/4 cup rice flour (or regular flour)
3/4 cup starch (potato or corn)
Around 8oz water
Spices:
2 tsp garlic powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, paprika, onion powder
Salt to taste (I used around 2 tsp)
1/2 of the spices go into the dry batter, and half on the shrimp
4 oz butter
10 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tbsp eel sauce
Finish with green onions, chives, parsley or cilantro ????
