M&M'S Snack Mix- Magical Trail Mix
M&M’s Magical Snack Mix
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Makes: 30 servings
Ingredients:
3/4 cup coconut oil, divided
1 tbsp each pink, green and blue food coloring, divided
1 cup popcorn kernels, divided
2 pkg (7.7 oz each) M&M’s Milk Chocolate Sharing Snack Mix
1 1/2 cups yogurt-covered raisins
1 cup pumpkin seeds
8 oz white chocolate, melted
1/2 cup rainbow-colored sprinkles
Instructions:
1. In large, heavy-bottom saucepan set over high heat, heat 1/4 cup coconut oil and 2 tsp pink food coloring. Add 1/3 cup popcorn kernels; cover with lid, leaving small opening to let steam release. Cook, shaking constantly, for about 3 minutes or until popping slows down to 10 seconds in between pops. Remove from heat. Repeat twice with remaining coconut oil and popcorn kernels, and green and blue food coloring. Let cool; mix all popcorn together.
2. Transfer popcorn to large baking sheet; scatter M&M’s, raisins and pumpkin seeds over top. Divide melted chocolate into small separate bowls. Add remaining 1 tsp food coloring to each bowl; drizzle over popcorn mixture. Garnish with sprinkles. Let stand until set.
3. Toss gently to break into small clusters. Store in airtight bags or containers at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Tip: To melt chocolate, place in small microwavable bowl; microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals, until smooth. To make a quick piping bag, scrape melted chocolate into resealable plastic bag and snip a small hole in the bottom corner.
