How To make Mom's Sweet and Sour Meatballs
2 lb Ground Beef
1 Egg
Bread Crumbs Mix together and form little meat balls, using enough bread crumbs to hold Dice 1 onion into a frying pan. Drop balls in to brown all over. In a pot, put 2 cans whole cranberry sauce, 2 cans strained cranberry sauce, and 2 cans tomato paste. Let it all dissolve and cook or simmer on low light. Wash cans out with very little water into pot. As meatballs brown, drop into sauce mixture with a slotted spoon. When all meatballs are in sauce, let simmer without lit till it cooks down. Today I'm going to be making Japanese-style meatball in Sweet and sour sauce, we call it ”Niku Dango.”
We have so many varieties of ground meat dishes this is one of it and I love the texture crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
And the sauce is sweet and sour has a hint of Chinese flavor and it goes so well with rice then you can use it as a bento lunchbox!
4 servings
・meatball filling
450g ground meat
(100g beef, 350g pork)
1 large egg
1 ts salt
1 tbs all-purpose flour
100g onion
・sweet and sour sauce
3 tbs water
1 ts potato starch
2 tbs sugar
1 1/2 tbs soy sauce
1 1/2 tbs vinegar (preferably rice vinegar)

Ingredients: Serves 2-4
1 pound ground meat
1 small onion, minced
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 egg
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
*Sauce*
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons sliced ginger
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 1 1/2 tablespoons water
Directions:
Add ground meat, minced onions, panko, minced ginger, egg, salt and pepper into a bowl. Mix with hands for 3 minutes until incorporated and ingredients are sticky. Roll into 1-inch balls. Deep fry in oil for 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.
To make the sauce, add soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, ginger and water into saucepan. Heat until just before boiling. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until dissolved. Add to sauce and stir. Bring to slow boil while stirring to avoid clumping. Cook until sauce is thick. Pour over the meatballs and serve hot.

<材料>(2~4人分)
挽肉(お好みで。ビデオでは牛豚合い挽き) 400g
タマネギ 小1個(みじん切りにします)
生姜 大さじ1(みじん切りにします)
卵 1個
パン粉 1/2カップ
塩・胡椒 適量
(甘酢タレ)
砂糖 大さじ3
醤油 1/4カップ
酢 1/4カップ
生姜 大さじ2(千切りにします)
水 1/4カップ
片栗粉 大さじ 1と1/2(同量の水に溶く)
<作り方>
・ボウルに、挽肉、タマネギ、生姜、卵、パン粉、塩・胡椒を入れて、粘りが出るまでよく揉み込みます
・ピンポン球程度弱のサイズに丸めます
・180度の油で揚げます。中まで熱が通ればできあがりです。フライパンなど油量が少ない場合、片面3分程度揚げます。
・油を切ってください。

・鍋に醤油、砂糖、酢、生姜、水を入れて煮立つ直前まで加熱します。
・水溶き片栗粉を少しずつ入れ、加熱しながらへらなどでかき混ぜます。とろみが付けばできあがり。肉団子にかけてお召し上がりください。

Ingredients:
1 kilogram minced meat (1 Kg daging cincang)
3 eggs (3 biji telur)
Chilli Boh
Parsley Leaf (daun sup)
Fried Shallots Crisp (Bawang Goreng)
Red & Green Chillies (Cili Merah & Hijau)
