Nancy’s Apple Dapple Cake
3 cups self rising flour
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3-5 cups chopped apples
Bake 350 degrees one hour
Sauce for top:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup butter
Bring sauce to boil and stir then remove from heat. Pour warm sauce over cake while cake still warm. Punch holes in cake before pouring sauce. Let cool completely.

Easy Apple Cake
Ingredients
2 and 1/2 cups (313g) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon EACH ground ginger & allspice
1 cup (240ml) vegetable oil
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (100g) packed light or dark brown sugar
1 cup (180g) unsweetened applesauce
4 large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons (30ml) orange juice
3 cups (360g) peeled chopped apples (1/2-inch chunks, about 2–3 large apples
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. Make the cake: Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice together in a large bowl. Set aside.
3. Whisk the oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, applesauce, eggs, vanilla extract, and orange juice together in a medium bowl.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until combined. Fold in the chopped apples until combined.
5. Pour and spread batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 45–50 minutes. Baking times vary, so keep an eye on it. Around the 30-minute mark, loosely tent with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

INGREDIENTS:
(Cake mix)
1 cup of flour
3 tbsp of melted butter
3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 apples (Golden Delicious).
(Sauce)
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
20 ml (0.68 oz) rum
Method
- Peel the apples
- Cut into uniform slices and steam over low heat for approx. 10 mins
- Drain and set aside
- Cream the melted butter and 1 cup of sugar
- Add the eggs to the sugar/butter mixture
- When smooth, add baking powder and salt
- Continue whisking, gradually adding the milk and flour and ensure uniform mixture
- Fold mixture into a greased oven-proof baking tray
- Place apple slices evenly over the top of the raw cake mix
- Bake in a pre-heated oven (180 c / 350 f) for 20-30 mins
- Heat the evaporated milk, vanilla essence, 1/2 cup of sugar and rum in a pot until almost boiling – stirring regularly
- Pour sauce mixture over the cake (while still hot), and allow to spread evenly over the top
- Allow to stand for about 15 mins, cut into squares and serve (ideally with vanilla ice-cream)

German Apple Cake
This is a simple, single layer cake with apples in it and powdered sugar on top.

Ingredients:
•4 small apples
•1 liter club soda
•1 stick room temperature, unsalted butter
•⅔ cup sugar
•3 room temperature eggs
•2 teaspoons vanilla extract
•3 tablespoons sour cream
•1 ½ cups cake flour
•2 teaspoons baking powder
•½ teaspoon salt
•powdered sugar
Directions:
•Peel, core and cut into halves the small apples.
•Soak the apple halves in club soda and set aside.
•Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
•Grease (see How to Make Pan Grease) as springform pan and set aside.
•Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix on high the room temperature, unsalted butter and sugar until they are light and fluffy.
•Reduce the mixer speed to low, add the room temperature eggs to the mixer and mix on high until incorporated.
•Reduce the mixer speed to low, add the vanilla extract and sour cream to the mixer and mix on high until incorporated.
•Remove the mixing bowl from the mixer and stir in by hand the cake flour, baking powder and salt until incorporated.
•Pour the batter into the greased springform pan and spread the batter so that it is evenly distributed throughout the pan.
•Place the apple halves on top of the batter.
•Bake in a 350 degree over for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
•Let cool for 30 minutes.
•Remove the cake from the pan.
•Sprinkle powdered sugar over the cake.
•Serve when ready.
Apple Dapple Bundt Cake

Apple Dapple Bundt Cake
1 1/2 cup oil
2 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup coconut
3 cups chopped, peeled raw apples.
1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
Mix first 4 ingredients in bowl. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Fold in remaining ingredients. I also add cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Frosting:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup sweet milk
Combine ingredients in saucepan. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over hot cake.
