How To make Pan Broiled Steak with Tomatoes & Garlic Ital
1/4 c olive
1 ts finely chopped garlic
2 c seeded sliced tomatoes
1 ts crumbled dried oregano
1 ds freshly ground black pepper
: Salt to taste 3 lb beef T-bone, porterhouse or
: sirloin steak -- 1 : inch thick Heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil in a haevy 8 in skillet over moderate heat. Remove the pan from the heat, add the garlic, and stir for 30 seconds with a wooden spoon. Add the tomatoes, oregano, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and a few grindings of pepper, and cook over moderate heat, stirring with the wooden spoon. When the tomatoe liquid has boiled away, remove the pan from the heat. In a 10 in skillet, heat the remaining two tablespoons of olive oil. Over high heat, brown the steak in the oil for a couple of minutes on each side. Reduce the heat to moderate and spoon the tomato sauce over and around the meat. Cover and cook for three to five minutes, or until the steak is done to your taste. (To test, make a small incision near the bone, and judge the redness of the meat.) To serve, scrape off the tomato sauce, and transfer the staek to a carving board. Simmer the sauce for 1-2 min, scraping in any potcake from the bottom of the pan. Taste for seasoning. ▶ Kochrezept und Zutaten:
3 Hähnchenbrust
2-3 Esslöffel Mehl
3 Esslöffel Butter oder Pflanzenöl
Pfanne vorheizen
2-3 Minuten bei starker Hitze goldbraun braten
4-6 Knoblauchzehen
umdrehen und weitere 2 Minuten braten
Salz, Pfeffer
Hitze auf mittel reduzieren
1,5 Esslöffel Butter oder Pflanzenöl
3 Esslöffel Honig
1 Esslöffel Sojasauce
1½ Esslöffel Apfelessig oder Weinessig
Sauce zum Kochen bringen und Hitze reduzieren
köcheln lassen, bis die Sauce eindickt, dabei die Hähnchenbrust regelmäßig wenden
150 g Weißkohl
Frühlingszwiebelfedern
150 g Rotkohl
1/2 blaue Zwiebel
1 Paprika
1 Gurke
1 kleine Karotte
Saft von 1/2 Teil Zitrone
1 Tomate
3 Esslöffel Sauerrahm
1 Esslöffel Mayonnaise
1 Knoblauchzehe
1 Teelöffel Senf
Salz, schwarzer Pfeffer
Fertig ist ein leckeres Abendessen mit Hähnchenbrust und Gemüse!

Fresh basil pesto is so easy to make and one of the most versatile condiments in Italian cooking. It originated in the region of Liguria and when made fresh the salty flavour just dances on your tastebuds.
When making your own pesto at home, the trick is to use fresh basil leaves – either from your own garden, the farmers market or your neighbours!
Be warned, once you start blending the basil, your kitchen will be filled with the most delicious aroma and as soon as you combine the pine nuts and parmigiano you will not be able to resist a few scoops almost right away!

Michelin Star Pasta in Venice - Gourmet Food in Italy
Visiting Zanze XVI, a Michelin Star Restaurant in Venice. The starter dish is Peruvian inspired, and reminds a bit of Ceviche. The main dish is snail pasta (Paccheri), with earthy flavors which bursts of green colors. It's not exactly a traditional dish, the head chef mentioned that his mother would kill him if he cooked this pasta at home.
